MOC: Yellow Apartment

Hello again, everybody! Here's the fourth building of my WIP City display (if everything goes ok, two more months and I'll finish it with the Sumemr sets! ). This time it's a yellow/black two levels appartment, an update of this old one. Hope you'll like it!

Look at the policeman. Isn't Darth Legois?

I really like this one with Posades SF. I felt inspired for changing it in red and yellow

That's a great MOC mate, the lil BBQ party going on at the back is really a very nice touch... I definitely think that of your 4 City display buildings, this one is my favourite.

Nice Job. The figure on the bed really does look sick or high! Very well executed, with some nice contrasts and good choice of repeating themes (black stripes, profile bricks, etc). The window frames are particularly nice against the yellow.

My one suggestion for improvement would be to improve the garage door. The studs out approach for the door and the ground in front of the door doesn't work visually, and it has more of a security door look than a garage door. I would suggest continuing the yellow and black stripes across the top of the door and then build the door with 1x6 tiles facing out, or even using alternating colors of bricks if you don't have 1x6 tiles.

Nice apartment^^ the colours scheme is a little... "bee" , but that's nice! I love all the details you put inside a so little apartment! oh btw, did you used the 8401 fire thing on the sidewalk? ^^

Nice MOC it kinda reminds me of my Bumblebee Cafè but not as sore on the eyes.

I like all the designs and greebles? I think thats the word.

The colours go well together too.

the tree also very beautiful, makes the apartment more greener.

IMHO the only annoying thing is the black color except the roof, isn't it make us fell a little depress living inside? just my though and feeling.

prateek: Let's everybody have his own oppinion about the bed guy I know why you say that about the tree (I agree it would be better in a side of the street, not hiding the building) but remember this is going to be part of a display so it's just a question of symmetry Anyway there's a treeless pic in the BS folder.

If you've got the parts, do you mind making my sigfig? The most important things about my sigfig are the Harry Potter Remembrall head and any BIONICLE playset weapon.

I love your yellow apartment though, especially the front wall and the way you've incorporated the sigfigs and the fire hydrant and barbecue from sets. I also like the 4-wide garage, but I know there are people who would seek for you to change that... (After seeing the silver bowl on the other side of the sleeping man's room, I'm definitely worried about him...)

I've got two questions though -

What's in the attic? There seems to be enough space to fit some neat details inside, such as forgotten documents and bodies.

How many of yourself do you have? In this MOC alone you're eating chicken, taking photos of a lost cat and inspecting the lower floor all at the same time!

There's just one BlueBard, I'm not so egocentric, don't worry Actually I'm in the BBQ party, and the guy in the roof is Posades' SF (even if we have the same head). In the lower floor I just put myself there for filling a bit the pic

About the attic there's nothing there, just a support for the roof... but you gave me a wonderful idea for filling it. Thanks!
