Minifig Lecturer Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Just 2 small street scenes I made. Hope you like. Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Very nicely done - I love the billboard! Quote
Zorbas Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I really like these small street scenes. And to be more precise, the first one is great! I don't know why, but it keeps giving me the impression of a film caption or a small part from a book. The grey walls, just one lonely man walking down the street, that not-your-everyday billboard, various things thrown all over, the totally empty roads, all these make this scene different from the usual ones. Btw, what LFC stands for? Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted April 19, 2009 Author Posted April 19, 2009 Btw, what LFC stands for? Thanks :) the LFC grafitti is for Legoland Football Club Quote
BlueBard Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I really your street scenes, specially the first one. As Zorbas says it really looks like a film or something. Nice job! Quote
rriggs Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I like that you get the impression of a large town/street from a small set. Really has the feeling of a big city like NY. I also like that you have set the traffic lights differently for the different approaching streets but would perhaps look even better if you used clear round plates for the non-illuminated ones and just have the red, green or amber on the opposing sides. Nice work Cheers Rog Quote

It is a good suggestion and I will try it with such lights (if I have enough - would need 8 transparent lights per traffic light) to see how it looks! Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 These are some very nice street scenes, Calvin! The screen looks great and the house with the broken windows looks very nice, too. Very well done! Klaus-Dieter Quote
Guss Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 That's some nice street scenes, but I would like to see less pics of the first one, and more pics of the second! and this graffiti is cool^^ Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted May 1, 2009 Author Posted May 1, 2009 Thanks for the comments Guss and Klaus-Dieter. I will post pictures of other street scenes soon hopefully and will take on board the recommendation RE: the traffic lights! Quote
Basiliscus Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Nice work as always. Hope to see more photos from Legoland! Quote
