MattZitron Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Ok here's my versions of Ajax and Swan from the Warriors: Ajax is the one in the forground of this pic, and Swan's next to him on our right: And now for your delectation, The Baseball Furies: Ajax and a Baseball Fury Tussle: "Don't mess with the Warriors!" Gallery here. And last but not least The Hi-Hats. And here they are facing off against the Warriors, IN CONEY!!! First a pair of Hi-Hats corner a lone Warrior. Luckily help soon arrived. The moral of the story? Don't mess with the Warriors. Especially on their home turf. Hopefully I'll be able to make some more of the gangs! Now I just want to say my personal stance on Minifig modifications. I don't paint, stick decals, or alter minifigs in an way other than using official Lego parts. The most I do is change around arms, heads etc. I don't want people who do paint minifigs to think I hate their stuff, as some of you know I like many MOCs by customisers like Kaminoan and vader316. Its just personally I don't like to do it. So why am I saying this? Well I want people to know why my minifig mocs only go so far. So PLEASE don't tell me to paint my figs or stick on decals. As they ain't my bag baby!! Anyway enjoy the fig! Matt Quote
Vader Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Looking good matt, i think thats the first custom version that ive seen yet. Quote
MattZitron Posted February 3, 2006 Author Posted February 3, 2006 Sorry to dredge up an older post. But I made another Warrior. The Gang's leader (after the meet goes bad) Swan! Enjoy Matt Quote
Lost Viking Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Aaah Megablock! The folder is not public yet... Have you been able to make a black guy? How would you do that without decals? Anyways, you should use decals or paint them! It's fun! j/k, I don't either :$ Quote
MattZitron Posted February 3, 2006 Author Posted February 3, 2006 Yeah, I'm strictly a no decal man. But there's still 2 more white Warriors to make!!! Baseball Fury pics coming soon! Quote
legofreak Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 I am sorry I missed this post. I loved the movie the Warriors, and hoped that the title of this thread was a quote from that. Speaking as a customizer, its better if you can use official lego pieces as much as possible..more playability Customs (IMO) are for those special pieces that look way cool, but get played with infrequently. on topic, these figs are fantastic. You have really captured them - I can't wait to see the rest, as well as some of the other gangs. Quote
Khorne Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 The Warriors, I love that game. When I went to the Futuris Gaming Experience in Brussels you were able to play it in a tuned humvee limo  , what was pretty awesome. Ahem, that beside, I love your figures, they capture the look of the persons very well, but I think that Swan would look better with Anakin EP.3 hair. Quote

In the movie his hair sometimes looks REALLY Blonde and sometimes darker. And juxtaposed to the other guys I'll make, Blonde works better. Hopefully have a Baseball Fury pic for ya tonite! Quote
MattZitron Posted February 3, 2006 Author Posted February 3, 2006 Sorry for the double post. But UPDATED with The Baseball Furies!!!! Quote
Sarg_Kulo Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Look good. Well done I love the red faces, you hardly ever see them in MOCs Quote
MattZitron Posted September 3, 2006 Author Posted September 3, 2006 Unearthing an old thread, to show off the addition of The Hi-Hats!! And the fact I took my Warriors Minifigs with me to New York in May. And photographed them in their home turf of Coney Island! As you can see I added myself (old style) to the gang, as well as making Vermin and Cowboy from the Movie! Quote
Kahgarak Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 I never saw the movie myself-But my brother DID play the PS2 game.I really like it.I love the ''wreck everything!'' option. *sweet* Great figs! *y* Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 What face is that on the Hi-Hat figs? Quote
Khorne Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 What face is that on the Hi-Hat figs? King Kahuta's face. You know, the islander king ;-) . Quote
Asuka Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 But there's still 2 more white Warriors to make!!! This is a really cool work and a very good film too. I especially *wub* the creativity you Quote

Asuka Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 To me the yellow faces don't work for black guys (because TLC are rubbish and haven't give us female black minifigs yet). Its just my personal feeling. I don't think it's racist or anything (not that you're saying it is) I'd LOVE to have that torso with black skintone. Because then I could make Cochise!!! I wouldn Quote
MattZitron Posted September 5, 2006 Author Posted September 5, 2006 Don't get me wrong. I'd LOVE to have all the Warriors in Lego. But if to me my MOCs don't look right, I don't want to make them. The novel is VERY different from the film. It's alot nastier, and you wouldn't have as much sympathy for the gang. I can't go into details on EB, but suffice to say their interaction with Mercy is short; and by no means sweet. Quote
