legoindy01 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 (edited) finally, thanks so much. will you be posting pics of these sets built or possibly a review? Edited April 18, 2009 by legoindy01 Quote
Derek Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 legoindy01, did you really need to quote the entire post before yours? It wasn't even necessary for what you wrote. Its really annoying when people do that. Thanks for the pictures again Kanal-k1! I need to find your secret stash! Any intentions of doing a review of the Indy sets? Quote

Derek Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Thanks, that's what I do Well I can't see you lasting here much longer with that attitude... The more I see that Cairo set, the more I want it. All of those figs and accesories are fantastic! I can't wait to get it, will be the first to buy in the summer wave... Quote

Clone OPatra Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 (edited) I can't wait to get it, will be the first to buy in the summer wave... I think Kanal K-1 beat you on being the first! I am really liking both of those sets, especially all the figures in the Cairo set and the beautiful motorcycle in the cemetery. But I still find a few accessories odd, such as the man's large brown carrot in Cairo and the hacksaw in the cemetery. And, I notice that LEGO is really pushing the Temple of Doom set, by showing it on the back of both sets. EDIT: One more box art oddity I notice on the Indy sets is that they put the movie title ("Raiders of the Lost Ark", Kingdom of the Crystal Skull") above the picture. For example, Indy's whip is under the words. I just think that looks odd, and that having the picture above the words would have been better. Edited April 19, 2009 by Clone O'Patra Quote
Kanal-K1 Posted April 25, 2009 Author Posted April 25, 2009 Finally I found time to deliver a parcel to Vlada, member of my forum Brickdome.cz, who bought from me 7747 Wind Turbine Transport. He immediately made a review, and as I find useful to allow also EB members to see the detailed pictures, I place a link here. You can use Google translator, if you are interested in text too. Quote
YG-49 Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 (edited) Could you get us a pic on the scorpians from the Ambush in Cairo? EDIT: I mean graveyard /whackhead Edited April 25, 2009 by YG-49 Quote
Peppermint_M Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 What does Mutt's bike look like? That is the only Indy set that I am intrested in this year, all due to the bike Quote
MaxGoof Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Will these sets really not be out until August? I remember finding several of the January 2009 Indy and Clone Wars sets at Toys R Us around Thanksgiving... do the August sets typically arrive a month or so early as well, or no dice? Quote
Clone OPatra Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Could you get us a pic on the scorpians from the Ambush in Cairo? EDIT: I mean graveyard /whackhead What is so special about the scorpions? They were in countless Johnny Thunder sets in the past, and they look like this: To MaxGoof: In the past, some stores usually start stocking their shelves with the summer sets a bit before their prescribed "August." The August date means that all stores should have the sets in August, but some start offering them (perhaps accidentally) a bit before. Quote
Kanal-K1 Posted May 12, 2009 Author Posted May 12, 2009 (edited) So I got my hands on 8038 Battle of Endor. Even if not beeing SW fan, I am excited by totally twelve minifigs in the set! Next one is 8036 Separatist Shuttle : So I got my hands on 8038 Battle of Endor. Even if not beeing SW fan, I am excited by totally twelve minifigs in the set! Front Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I love the Separatist Shuttle, with it's neat little door design at the back, where Nute Gun Ray slides in. You can actually just fit Onaconda Far in there too. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 so how much is endor? I need the rebel torsos. Quote
---Vertea--- Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I really want the Tauntaun. It would help complete my minifig creatures. I have a dragon, a hyppogryph, and then a tauntaun would just be epic. Quote

---Vertea--- Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 What about the dewback, basilisk, opey(sp?), phoenix, etc, etc? Oh, yeah! I have dewback, octopus(black), trans-green frog, bat, owl, grey parrot, spider and baby T-rex, but I AM missing Basalisk, phoenix, and they never made an Opee Sea Killer in lego form I think. Quote
