74louloute Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 I didn't know were I can post this, so after reflexion I decided to post it here (Hope it's Ok). A few weeks ago, I found a little but great software to make morphing. So, I decided to try with lego ! Here is the result : The hardest part is to take two pictures with the exact light and position, and as I had to switch the heads between the two shots, I had to take a few pictures before starting the morphing ! I'm rather satisfied with the result. What do you think ? Do you see applications of such a technic ? Quote
prateek Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 i like it its actually funny to see his head and arm moving Quote
Asuka Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 He he... I always knew they live a secret life, but that´s almost too creepy... but very nice for sure! Quote
The Who Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Interesting. I would have held the camera down and attached the torso to a brick to try for a still picture though. Also, if you could do this with three pictures at once, try putting a ghost minifig in the background of the 2nd picture, and see how that 'effect' would come out. Quote
hewkii9 Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 Ooh, that could be very useful for brickfilms! [apart from the obvious expression changing, I'm thinking it could also be used for TARDIS dematerialization, teleporting, or a dream sequence] Could you post a link to this software? Quote
ILikePi Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 According to what 74louloute said on Flickr, the software is called FotoMorph. Quote
AwesomeStar Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Teehee, I could watch that all night. In fact, I will! Is FotoMorph availbale for iMac? ~A.S. Quote
Skipper 24 Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 That's some pretty sweet morphing 74louloute. How about try doing the morph without twisting the head, you might be able to get better lighting. Good job . Quote
MarcusV3 Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Woah, that's pretty cool. I've never seen that before :P I like how it seems like the minifig's eyes light up with laughter ;) Quote
KinGanon Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Isn't this what wuzzupbob uses to show off his minifigs? Anyway I find it kind of annoying since the pics change so fast that you can't get a good look at the detail(talking about wuzzie's customs) Quote
Raven Brickroft Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Interesting and a little creepy. "as lil hook's eyes gleamed in excitement..." Quote
