Klaus-Dieter Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 (edited) Hello everybody! Since TLG added a lot of new bricks to PaB (and so even to LDD) I tried to design a bakery in LDD some days ago. Here is the result: Bakery Pieces: 161 Price: 35,39 Euros (Germany) It's in the morning and you want to have some rolls for breakfast. So you go to the little bakery in your street. The saleswoman sells not only rolls, croissants, bread, cakes and other pasta but even drinks and other food. Oh, the postman is coming, too, and delivers the mail! This set includes a house with a bakery downstairs and a litte room with writing table and bed upstairs, a saleswoman, a postman, a little girl, a trolley for the postman and a lot of accessory. Like the pizzeria in the new awesome 7641 City Life set, this bakery can be devided into two parts in order for better playing inside, too: More pics can be found in this folder (when public) of my BS gallery. Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter Edited April 12, 2009 by TheBrickster Quote
prateek Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 simple yet good i like the use of the tight space upstairs Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted April 11, 2009 Author Posted April 11, 2009 simple yet good i like the use of the tight space upstairs Thank you very much for your nice comment, prateek! Yes, since I think it doesn't make sense to let only empty space to the attic and I even was disappointed when I saw that the attic in the awesome 7641 City Life set doesn't contain anything, I decided to add some interior to the second floor. MarcusV3 Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Great MOC!The building is great and I like how you included two girls (one a child :D) and one guy. If only lego went in this direction :/ This would probably look great next to city life :) Quote

More civilian buildings in the style of the awesome 7641 City Life and the brilliant 10164 Town Plan are an absolute must and I really hope that TLG will continue this direction and offer a lot of shops, public buildings, a bank, a post office, some parks, more public transportation vehicles etc. in the next years! And I totally agree with you, too, on the subject that there shall be more female minifigs and children (boys and girls) included in City sets!
