So my girlfriend and I have recently discovered brinklink! (which will probably be the death of me) I was always wondering how people were able to obtain large amounts of the same type of brick. Bricklink was the answer! As we were browsing the different stores we came up with the idea to create something using the color pink. So we brainstormed for a bit, and the Atlantis Resort came to mind. We google image'd the word phrase "pink hotel' and came across pictures of the Royal Hawaiian and Beverly Hills Hotel. Immediately we started ordering pink bricks of all kinds and different shades. I had no idea what these elements would look like together as a unit or structure, so i wasn't sure what to expect. But after I sat down and started throwing something together, the hotel is starting to look decent to my surprise! There is no limit to this project, and no design is set in place, so it can take many different directions. It started out as a rectangle, and once I showed my girlfriend the first glimpse of what I had done, she told me she wanted it to have some depth. She suggested there should be wings that come off the main section, and each room needs to have a balcony.

We are very excited about this project and are anxious to see what it looks like as the hotel grows in size. If you have any suggestions for what you would like to see included with this pink hotel, feel free to share your ideas!

Here are some pictures of where it stands as of now...

Two bonus photos!...

We also modified the airport. Moved the rotating doors to the back side of the terminal. Extended the gate.

Firestation took a different design as well.

Stay tuned for updates. I'll probably just update this thread as the hotel makes progress. Thanks for looking! :classic:

Wow! I've never been a big fan of pink (doesn't exactly represent the rough tough deadly Phanton Rider persona :skull: ), but this is a really neat creation ACCURATEin. The idea to create a hotel in pink Lego is very unique, and definately something that one doesn't see every day. The use of the light trans blue windows work well with the pink structure.

As a suggestion for an addition, it could use a large fountain in the center courtyard.

Great design and I'm looking forward to seeing your completed creation.

Fantastic! and Pink On.

Paradisa goes big! An impressive and daring project. Pink is hard enough to get as it is, I can't imagine trying to put this much of it together, but it's definitely shaping up nicely.

I love bright pink and dark pink. Your hotel should be called Grand Hotel as it is grand. Just lovely, you see there are out there very nice colors LEGO has made over the years. Good job!!! :classic:

It's very pink...

It looks really good so far, but I do second a fountain and maybe some benches of the hotel's front? If you are making much much more (as in a grounds for it) then a pool would be a nice addittion. :classic:

A very interesting and pretty cool project indeed, the color scheme and layout looks really fine!

Nice improvements with the fire station and the airport too!

wow! i'm in paradisa heaven  the crane's a nice touch  the pathways might be a bit to narrow though (should be at least 4-wide IMO)

That's an amazing piece of work!

The balconies (is the correct plural?) are superb, and the facade is too. A fountain and a large pool would really be necessary too I think. I can't wait to see some of the interiors decked out with furniture and its floors bustling with appropriately coloured mini-figs.

The use of glass is clever because a lot of modern buildings today use glass to appear fancy. It's like saying to the world - to heck with the heating bills - we can afford it!

More arches are good, and of course greenery. Some ivy crawling up the walls would be good, and maybe a garden somewhere too.

I hope we'll see more soon!

Thank you! After browsing through the different types of bricks and panels that were available on bricklink, it became apparent that a pink lego creation might be possible. We were thinking it might have to be a primarily white hotel with pink accents, but it's looking like the entire exterior will be able to display pink.

My girlfriend also requested to throw in a fountain, so that will have to be done for sure!

Hopefully we can get closer to a state of completion as it's also exciting to see creations once they're done.

It's fairly difficult at times deciding how to put the pink hues together in order for it to look good. And thank you!

Thank you! We are trying to figure out what to call it, and perhaps it could be called the Grand Hotel! We are not sure how many levels it will have once it's complete.

Thanks for the suggestions! Ideas so far include:

-valet and check in

-revolving entry door

-elevator

-cabana/bar/restaraunt

-jacuzzi

-pool

-fountain

- !!?!?!?

Oh nice! We feel honored to be featured! Thank you for doing that. :classic:

Exotica land! I like to include the crane in the build photos, just so the construction workers can receive some credit haha. And you're correct about the pathway...we'll have to widen that.

Thank you! Balconies is correct.

My girlfriend is figuring out a design for the beds at the moment. Right now they're looking to be purple.

I love the trans light blue panels. They occupy a lot of space which is good because the pink bricks wouldnt be able to cover that much area.

We've got a plethora of arches, so there will be many more to see. And lots of greenery! I want it to be enveloped in green.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions!

That's a great project and suerly even begin of a great MOC, ACCURATEin!

I really like it since it has that Paradisa design and feeling!

Very well done!

Btw: Do you plan to add some interior and an elevator made out of glas, too? That would be a very nice addition.

I never realized how good pink looks, when I saw pink hotel I was like eww that's gonna look awful, but when I saw the pink it looked pretty good. I must not appreciate it because I don't have any :P Good job though, I like how you put everything on raised base plates, can't wait till you finish it.

Wow, that is quite a construction project. I think it is the first time I see so many pink bricks all at once! I really like the idea! Good Work!

Thank you very much! There will be a bed in each room along with whatever else we come up with. I'm thinking there will be two elevators, and will use a motor to make it go up and down. I hope it turns out!

Man, that looks really good! But, wow, I don't think I've seen so many pink bricks. Wow! It almost hurts the eyes :oh:

I can't wait to see the finished product. And, I agree with another post, the crane was a nice touch.

Absolutely great creation you're dealing with ACCURATEin! Not only this thing is gigantic but it looks realistic too, especially the shape of it!

Well, although i'm not a great fan of pink, the whole project equalizes and surpasses it for me!

Then again, if your hotel is in Las Vegas, anything is acceptable!

(The name of the hotel will be "Flamingo" I suppose...)

Thank you! Vibrant is a good adjective for this color.

The colors are a little distorted between the photos and the actual model. I think it looks about 3 times better in person. I wish everyone could see it.

Thank you! I'm loving the way it's turning out. haha very true about Las Vegas. This hotel would fit right in. In fact, if someone were to build a pink hotel there, i'm sure most of the lady tourists would prefer to stay at a pink hotel over the others. Food for thought! :classic:
