VBBN Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Everyone; I'll be taking on a new task, massively modding one of my sets. My last project was the Dino attack chopper, which, ended up a larger project than I expected, and it ended up having two floors, bombarment hatched, weapons storage, bunks, computer room, and more. So, which of these sets should I mod next? And more imprtantly, what should I do to mod it? I have posted a couple of my suggestions next to each... 1) AT-TE I think with this one, I would make the floor on the inside larger, fix the misle lauchers to be out of the way, and add a boarding ramp. 2) Agents Mobile Command Centre` Not sure what I would do with this, maybe more floor space, and fix up the cab. 3) RGS I would mod away the Bacta tank and make some side bubble turrets, make a second floor, open up the interior, and tweak a few other things, like making the marron dark blue and making the lime green into tan. 4) Cool convertible *No picture available* I would remold this thing to have an actul floor, better engine, and maybe make some improvements to the roof. 5) Brickbeard's Bounty For this I would mod the captain's cabin, the flooring, and the front of the ship, to name a few points. So, your thoughts? Quote
ILikePi Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 I voted for the RGS because it would be cool to see a second floor for the passenger place. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Pirate ship, the Agents set is too perfect as it is (I thought I would get bored of it... several months later I still can't even bring myself to take a single stud from it... The rest of the stuff is earmarked for modification though). Plus I really like Pirate ships and want to see as many different variations of the set so I can get some inspiration for my mod Quote
prateek Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 i voted RGS because there havent been mods of this set before and it sounds promising. my next choice would be cool convertible due to the same reasons Quote
Spyder Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 I voted RGS because I thought it would look cool with a second floor and I want to see it in dark blue and tan. Quote
The Who Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Gunship all the way, because what you would do sounds to be very interesting. Quote
Oky Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 I'd love to see you take on the AT-TE. There are many things that can be done with it. It needs a wider floor and some more interior, and it would be great if you could add a ramp in the back like the one in the episode "Liberty of Ryloth" that can be lowered and maybe even carry a clone walker! The interior could include a small room with a holo-table like the one in Liberty of Ryloth. And if the dropship-compatible handle isn't important to you, I would exchange the middle section with a tunnel for the minifigs to walk through. If possible, it could be a flexible tunnel, so that the AT-TE can bent upwards. Also, the main gun on top needs to be modified so that it has controls which the gunner can reach. And if you want, you can even mod the bottom of the vehicle to feature some greebs etc. Those are just a few things that come to mind right now. I would love to see all (or most) of these mods in one AT-TE! Quote
VBBN Posted April 8, 2009 Author Posted April 8, 2009 Okie guys, so far it's looking like it comes down to the RGS and AT-TE. Now there is one slight problem I run into with the RGS: I need an LAAT/C set from this year, as It has the dark blue I need. If anyone can get me one and would want to trade for it, let me know. I like both anyhow, as the RGS is like the Chopper, and the AT-TE is part technic, which is where I can be certain it will be strong I plan to do a walkthough of my process, so it's more enjoyable and you can follow along. And if need be, if it comes to a tie by tomorrow night, then I shall do both! Oky; Some very good points, and I like them all. The one thing I can't do is make the middle bendable like Siegfrieds, as I plan to use the handel for the LAAT/C. Thanks all for voting so far! Quote
