Sir Norman Ray Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 So I was watching TV the today when an advert for LEGOLAND Windsor came up. It was advertising the new kingdom of the pharaohs ride. No Indiana Jones stuff mentioned, but minifigs from the old Adventurers line. Could this be a slight hint to the return of this forgotten series? Just a thought I had... -Sir Norman "I can get VERY suspicious." Ray. Quote

Because if TLC would loose their license they can't use the attraction, too. So this is the reason why they just use their onw ''names''. And this 'Adventurer'-ride is an standart for all parks 'Bricks' Quote

Sorry to get everybodies hopes up... -Sir Norman "Wrong as usual" Ray. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I'd have to agree, there are Adventurers themed rides that have been there for years and even after the theme ended they were never re-branded plus the show in the harbour is Johnny Thunder. Also the Pirate section has been there fir years. The only are to be re-branded was the castle, which went from Wolfpack and the like to KKII and then Fantasy Era. I wish they would make more Adventurer sets, they are based on the same pulp heroes and adventure serial characters as Indy is. Quote
Ricecracker Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 As well, sorry to bring down any ones hopes, but the parks were actually sold off by Lego, so they will probably use the themes from prior to the sale, I.E, adventurers. Quote
Sandy Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I see no chance of Adventurers returning as long as the Indiana Jones line goes on. And I've complained about this before, but why do people take every little thing related to LEGO as a hint of a new theme? Whether it's a crossbow sold in the LEGO shop, the new boardgames or even a fanmade video seen in YouTube, it's always a sign of a new theme in someone's mind! Quote

I guess it's because everyone wants to be the one who makes "the great discovery" so they say "-I saw it first!" when the news are official But I agree with you, there is no chance of Adventures coming back as long we got IJ, no matter how many "signs" we find. I feel really split in which theme I like the most between those This years IJ sets are really good but the Adventures will always have a certain place in my heart Quote
Algernon Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 I'll have to agree with the majority here in saying that it would be unlikely, which is unfortunate because in my opinion Adventurers is way better than Indy. Quote
Athos Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 I see no chance of Adventurers returning as long as the Indiana Jones line goes on. Sadly, I agree. Too similar that they'd be competing for the same market base. in my opinion Adventurers is way better than Indy. True, but Indy is better than nothing... Steve Quote
keetong Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Well Indiana Jones can't go on forever, they will run out of ideas from the movies. But Adventures has no set story line so they could still make them. Saying that they'll probably make sets from the books or make their own story. Quote
