Well, when I want to build something I go and I build it. I finished this not half an hour ago and I'm rather pleased with how I have improved in my building in the last two years.

As I mentioned in another topic I was planning on making a Green Blast! mark II, but this ship is so different that I decided to rename it.

From the MOCpages page:

The citizens of the Amaterasu system really believe the mantra: Reduce, Re-use, Recycle. Every broken ship, every scrap mecha and any rubbished metal gets turned into something new. When the Green Blast was destroyed (much to Ray’s despair) it was reborn as the Green Bolt, faster, more manoeuvrable and with better fire power. Now the invading mechanoids don’t stand a chance.

Since I built the Green Blast Lego created a new shade of green that became much more available than other green bricks so I decided to create a new space fighter in a new style, moving the engine pods to the wings and changing the front. The dark green came from Exo Force and Indiana Jones sets.

End.

I might tweak it some more, but I have a few other older MOCs to spruce up first. :classic:

Very nice, I especially like the front part and the cockpit section. :classic:

But there´re a few things that IMHO are slowing down a little the flow of your design:

The unevenness between the two dominant green slopes on top of the engines, the

rectangular liaison of wing and tail section and the explicit longitude of the ray guns.

My opinion on this is completely different than Asuka's one.

i like the "The unevenness between the two dominant green slopes on top of the engines".

It looks more "realistic". When a Bounty Hunter builds his ship, he build it with the things he can get.

This way the ship has more "character". (Hope I can translate this sentence 1:1 from german to english an it keeps his meaning)

The Cockpit section looks kinda weird to me. I can't say what it is... there is just something that bothers me.

It looks a bit similar to Magna Guard Starfighter (7673)...

Your sentance translated fine

I'm not entirely happy with the front section myself, it is a far departure from my usual style and building methods, in comparison to the Green Blast the cockpit looks a little off paired with that front. I might do something about it when I get an idea what to do with the front as I built the wings and cockpit before I came unstuck and slapped a "new" style of front onto the body. Once I work out where to go from there I may make some minor cosmetic changes as I do like the current base style.

Thanks for the helpful suggestions and compliments :classic:

"Green Bolt"? That reminds me of my Green Lightning!

Nice work. It has a lot of gaps, and some areas could have been smoother IMHO, but in general, it looks fine.

Overall, this is a nice little ship. The nose design is very interesting and adds some originality to the shape. I also really like the colour scheme (with matching cockpit!) but there are several things that I'd change if it was my MOC.

Firstly, I'd remove lime green as the three shades of green are somewhat distracting. Concentrate on dark green and green as they are more "natural" colours and with the black and dark grey they will compliment nicely.

The way you've started the engine covers is very nice - it has a lot of potential. If I could add to Asuka's earlier remarks the height balance on front and rear slopes does need resolved to help the shape flow better. I like how the front slope overhangs the engine - if you could repeat this effect on the rear slope and the underside of the engines it would look fantastic (making the engines enclosed in slopes).

The wings are the area that need most time spent on them in my opinion. I think a SNOT solution would spice things up a little but I do realise this is both difficult, part-intensive and time-consuming. The tail also falls into this category. Alternatively, some tiles and getting a better colour distribution (at present it feels as if the green on the wings has been thrown on rather than aesthetically placed) would help.

I hope you don't think this is too negative, I'm only trying to tell you what I'd do to improve it.
