Inspired by the Military Contest on Flickr, I decided to make an entry. I haven't started on the actual diorama yet, but I have made a light support helicopter to be used in it.

Based on the "Little Bird", see these three pics.

Enjoy!:

The three sections dismantled, though the base can come off the landing gear:

Placing the roof section on:

This was a fun and interesting build for me. It is my first ever '5' wide MOC, and one of my only few to utilize such an odd SNOT technique (the roof/cockpit). I tried basing the windscreen on the pics as much as possible, which explains why the hole and lines are there. I am currentl trying to anchor the roof part to the back somehow. Very tricky business.

Thanks for looking!

A nice little helicopter indeed in a charming size, although the engine part beneath the rotor looks probably a bit too simple somehow... :classic:

Nice helicopter. I've never been very good at making them. Good choice of soldiers, the faces fit right in.

Thanks Pep. I'm not good at making them either. This is only the second chopper i'm proud of, and yet i'm still modding parts of it

Thanks Asuka. Yes, the part on top is rather small, but I suppose I have some kind of reason. With the roof's width being 5 studs, the engine under the rotor had to be less. I really didn't feel like coming up with another system of expanding 3 studs to 4 studs and keeping it centred in 5 studs, so I left it the way it is.
