2009- Best minifig year?

I'm definitely of the opinion that 2009 may be the best year for minifigs. We get flipping awesome aliens in Space Police III, civilians, a gold knight, a queen and orc witch in Castle and don't even get me started on the great minifigs coming out in Indy. Not ot mention some of the cool Agents figs yet to be seen well.

Keep going like this and TLC will drive me bankrupt!

... but some themes (mainly Star Wars) have been coming out with the ugliest minifigs I've ever seen. Clone Wars FTL.

I agree with you, Algernon - those Manga inspired faces are plain horrible! ...but I´m not collecting Star Wars so I voted for the first choice.

Overall the minifigs are simply marvelous these days and the best idea ever was the two-sided face! I love those and you can create excellent moods with them. What about a "blushed" MF-face like this: -> <-

As a castle fan, this year's offering has been like no other; a plethora of peasants, knights (including a guilded fellow), and a queen. The fact that we're seeing alot of two-sided torsos is an even bigger plus.

Allthough we've had some amazing minifigs in previous years, the sheer quantity of interesting figs available this year is without equal (IMO of course). This is a great year for LEGO fans.

Aboslutely yes, this year is the best so far for minifigures!

Those are all my favourites too! I have to own almost all of them by the end of this year, they're great for a big minifig fan like me!
