It seemed the right time to post a topic about Smallville. I was suprised that there was not already a topic on it. I love Smallville and I have watched it from when it started in 2001. I am in the UK so we are a few episodes behind you guys in the US. I watch the latest episodes on youtube.com.

I hope there are other fans of Smallville on EB apart from I and CF WeaZZel.

Season 8 started with a bang. Lex and Clark buried in the Fortress, Lana leaving Clark etc etc. Now Lana aka supergirl and Clark have found out Lex is alive and planning to do something with kryptonite.

Ooh, a Smallville topic

I can't really remember when I started to watch Smallville, I do know that I fell somewhere in the middle of the season.

I was never able to watch the first episode untill I started collecting the series on DVD.

Right now I own all seven seasons on DVD, and I'm watching the eighth on Youtube, the day after it aired on CW.

I really love the series (obviously ) but I gotta say, I think the last two seasons are... I don't know, definetely different than the first four, five.

And I'm not really sure I like the concept of a ninth season, but I will be watching that of course

I really don't think the whole Chloe and Jimmy thing will work out. She still seems to love Clark. She has loved him since season 1 and I don't think she will stop.

About Jimmy & Chloe: I think you're right on that one too, but my guess is that Chloe won't live much longer anyway ... I read that at the season 8 final episode two people will die, one of them is a longtime character (credit for news to Kryptonsite.com)

Yeah, I've seen that (you're referring to 8x14, Requiem, right ?) I think it's really weird they killed him/her... since

he's a major character in the Superman universe and all

so I don't think he/she is really dead, but we'll see.

And I can't for the next episode either, gonna be fantastic

Impressive episode tonight.

Clark did go back in time after Lakes turned the world against him,but right before Cloey said the truth about Davis, so a touch of irony. He used, and then destroyed the Legion ring. and then he shocked Lakes unconcious before she revealed him in the present.

An imprisoned Lakes tried to get Davis angry, and turn him into Doomsday, so he would free her. He didnt want to turn into DD, and in a fit of rage suffocated her. He then goes back to normal.

I know that my favorites, Lionel and Chole, have to die (they're not exactly originals), but who could compare Chloe to Lana or Lionel to Jimmy? It's not right! I hate Kara. When I say "hate", I mean capitol "h" even though I didn't write it that way. She better get kicked off the show, or I'll be ticked. I also think they're stretching the fact that Pete and Lana get married and have a son named Clark which the older Clark saves.

Is it true that Chole and Jimmy get married or something? I saw images suggesting that kind of thing, which would be the perfect time to kill her off.

Pete's billing is too high.

Martha was one of the best, she shouldn't have been cut. And Jonathon, though

he had to die in Season 5 - I know, this doesn't have to be spoilered

, was just to bad -> funny to let go. I'd really grown fond of seeing him beat up in every episode...

Understandable.

You can find that information in the old comics (which I read as a child) or if you pick up a book on Superman (you know, the classic stuff, not information on Smallville or Returns).

I'm in Season 7.

I think her parts are a little overdramatic. Besides, she's a brat... "That's what happens when you touch my stuff!"

Well, Chloe was a character that the Smallville creators made up (as well as Lionel), and since Jimmy never had a lasting love interest or wife, she'd have to die at some point around then.

Traveler, Season 7 and Episode 14.

He's the guy that

keeps Clark in the kryptonite cage under Lionel's orders, then turns vigilante and tries to kill Clark (before killed by Lionel/Kara).

I already had a hunch the Pete-loves-Lana-part was something from the comics, which are (as far as I know) unavailable in my country

I think Kara is pretty okay... and of course véry hot

I know Lionel and Chloe were created for the show, but that doesn't mean they have to die. She will still be there in Season 8, and perhaps even in Season 9, although, like I said before, she may not. But she can just leave the show for other reasons (as in Chloe can leave Clark's life...).

And Traveler, 'ey ? I just finished Hero this afternoon (God, why did they had to bring Pete back ? ) and I've only watched Season 7 once, which was quite a while ago, that's why I couldn't remember the torturer-guy

I just watched Requiem. That was the saddest episode I have ever seen!

It was so tragic that Lana absorbed the meteor rock and Clark couldn't touch her. At the end scene I almost cried. Bye bye Lana. I hope Lex is dead and the writers will find a way of bringing Lana back in the next season without her affecting Clark. What I don't understand is why Clark did not ask Jor'El to get rid of his powers. He has done it before. Then it could still be Clana.

Actually I expected it to end with Season 8 already.

It's great that they're continuing for another season, but I'm starting to think "what can they possibly put in the stories, other than the main story line, Doomsday ?"

So... my guess is that it will surely end after S9, I actually hope so before the show gets ruined
