Legoist Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 (edited) Personally I believe that the new 8401 City minifig set is a great idea: We already have several impulse sets, but what if TLG decided to release more sets with 4-5 minifigs besides the impulse? Star Wars fans already get their "battle packs" with 4 minig each, although the set also contains a significant model to build and not just minifig. Castle fans (well, the lucky ones where this is available) have a Skeletons Battle Pack and a Knights Battle Pack: So what other minifig sets of these 2 types would you like to see on the shelves in the future?? NOTE: "type 1" is 4 minifigs with significant additions for ~10$/e, "type 2" is 5 minifigs with just 2 accessories each for ~15$/e, BUT you can of course suggest different types you would prefer! xenologer Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 something Spacey Mars Mission seems to be cancelled, but something with a few alien commanders would be great. To replace all those useless armless ones that ruined the first year... Quote
WhiteFang Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 I like the idea of having a good few minifigs in one single set for an affordable price, mainly to increase the count for minifigs across many themes that enable us to have playing interaction in our mocs, sets, tabletop and etc. At this moment, SW, Castle and City have such sets available which is mentioned by legoist and I hope it will keep it that way. Perhaps, we could see minifig collection for the Pirates too. Actually, this kind of packaging content exist long time ago, back in those Classic era. There are many of such sets available until recent past where they have stopped doing so. Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Personally I believe that the new 8401 City minifig set is a great idea: I was pleased to see this set as I was years waiting for something similar, however, due to the roadsigns / traffic lights I won't be buying this. I would like to see a "type 3" set of just women. Lose the roadsigns. They should be in another set with fences, trees, or something. Quote
Dadster Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Space is the only theme that comes to mind since SW has the magnet sets now. Maybe (a long shot) a troll BP... Quote
Bobskink Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Paradisa, I know it's old, but a pack like that must look so hilariously gay, no offence. I would buy it anyway. Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 I want dwarfs and Orcs/trolls and Medival live battlepack. And something like civilian pack. With two women (one with new hair from camper) and another one in new paradisa outfit and old black hair (ponytail), black dog, postman with bike and envelope, waiter with pizza, kid on skateboard. Or maybe a Farm set? With horse, cow and two farmers? Quote
Algernon Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Female minifig pack? Pirate pack? UFO pack? All of those would rock. Quote
Dufresne Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 (edited) UFO pack? Though it's pretty safe to say UFO is dead and gone, making an alien-heavy "Space Pack" would be great. Put in one Space Police figure, then load up the rest with a variety of aliens from SP3, and maybe a MM alien commander. Edited March 5, 2009 by Dufresne Quote
Capt. Bluebeard Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 An Orc battle pack definitely. With at least 3 Orc shields. Bluebeard, out- Quote
Peppermint_M Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Grunts for Doctor Inferno! A pack featuring some sort of dasdardly deed to commit or a device for comitting dastardly deeds and several grunts and a leader/commander (cyborged arm, posh hat, something to show rank but not have some character specific feature) That would be very cool and also quite useful. Quote
Wout Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 I like more town civilian battle packs, with 50% females and much different faces and hairpieces. Castle, I like the battlepacks, but now there are villagers I like a pack of them also. (and not exclusive) Pirates would be nice to have a battlepack with the 2 special pirates from the 6253 set and some other. Agents would be nice to get a battlepack with less common agents and villans (and the hairpieces) the Space police could maybe get a battle pack Sw has battlepacks and they are nice, but maybe an Indiana Jones battle pack would be nice. Quote
Dadster Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Sw has battlepacks and they are nice, but maybe an Indiana Jones battle pack would be nice. NO!!!!! Unless the Indy had some exclusive outfit... Quote
Derek Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 (edited) I like more town civilian battle packs, with 50% females and much different faces and hairpieces. Considering 95% of the figures in the actual sets are male, I think that they should have three females to every male, should they release a similar City pack... Wout, what do you call the new Ambush in Cairo set? I think thats as close to figure packs we will see for the Indy line... Edited March 5, 2009 by darthperson Quote
Wout Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 @ Dadster: I don't want Indy in the Bps, We also don't get Luke or Vader in a Bp. @ Darth Person: I thought about 30's Germans and 50's Sovjets, but I dont think they will be ever made. The ambush in Cairo set is a nice and cheap set (like the set with Indy on a motorcycle with Dad and the little set with Mutt and Irina), but it has Indy, like in every other IJ set, and Marion who become also a common fig. A real bp wouldn't have Indy. About the town civilian Bp: 75% female would be imposseble for Lego, I think. So 50% would already be a big step forward. Quote
legotrainfan Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Set 8401 is ok, but I would like to see the police officer substituted with a female, civilian minifig. It'd be great to have a set with civilians only. There should be as many male minifigs as female ones in it. That'd be great. This way I could populate my city. Especially the Creator houses would need some minifigs that live in it. I'm wondering why they always come without any minifigs. There's no pirates minifig set, is there? So I'd also be great to have a pirates minifig set, but without Captain Brickbeard. The old pirate Captain was in so many sets of the old pirate line. When collecting pirate sets, you can build an army with pirate captains only. I don't want to see this with the new pirate line. Quote
prateek Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Paradisa, I know it's old, but a pack like that must look so hilariously gay, no offence. I would buy it anyway. lol me too (well maybe not) if they did it'll have a waiter and a few ladies and a dolphin lol Quote
Millacol88 Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 I know nobody is requesting SW minifig packs (they already have them), but I would like SW packs with one or two more minifigs, and with the thrown-together vehicle taken out. I think if they started to be done in the Castle BP style it would be a lot better. Also, I agree we need more female minifigs, but I doubt LEGO will ever have a 3 : 1 ratio in favour of female MFs. Quote
Bob Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 I thought you were talking about the Vintage Minifigure Packs.. Anyway, I would like to see the return of the pigtails at least somewhere...In any city set, space set, or even another Community Workers set. We haven't had one of those for at least 3 years, (2006 I think is when the latest one came out), and I would love to see a new one, as it came with so many minifigures with useful torsos and hair parts. Quote
TLV Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 pirates pack would be nice. However given that all the imperials look the same, I would think a combined pirates/soldiers pack would suffice. Clone trooper pack would definately be a bestseller. I wonder why lego doesn't do that. In fact any star wars minifig pack would be very popular would love to see an orc battle pack and also elves battle pack in the future. Quote
3.14 Toasts Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 (edited) I would like to see a CITY Construction MF pack made, as the construction helmet is in my opinion the best minifigure accessory.(NOTE: Please, please, please no Standard Smile with Silver Sunglasses ) Edited March 24, 2009 by 3.14 Toasts Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 About the town civilian Bp: 75% female would be imposseble for Lego, I think. So 50% would already be a big step forward. Also, I agree we need more female minifigs, but I doubt LEGO will ever have a 3 : 1 ratio in favour of female MFs. Well, unless you're a sports fan (or a football / soccer one, anyway)... That said, yeah, the point remains. LEGOLAND definitely and desperately needs more women... Quote
jonwil Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 The construction pack sounds nice especially if they bring back that torso from the one set, the "foreman" with the necktie. Also, a second "general" pack (i.e. sequel to 8401) would be nice. Could include a fire fighter with a fire extinguisher and breathing tanks/mask, a postman on a bicycle with a mailbox and letters (and use that neck basket thing for the postman bag, that or the Indiana Jones bag), a kid with the small legs, a female (could be the kids mother), a dark bley garbage bin, some more road signs (stop sign?) and maybe a couple of fences. Quote
DualDisorder Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Would definitely love to see some Orcs/Dwarfs battle packs. I'm hoping they are coming. I think a lot of people would love to see a female pack of some sort. Quote
just2good Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Power Miners miner pack, and a rock monster pack. And for the miner pack, they could even add a special face. Quote
