Zepher Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 A nice little intro to my newest theme, La Franks. La Franks are basically if the French had, at around the Gun Powder Age, taken an giant step in science... and suddenly build futuristic stuff. La Franks are the fear of the World. To start you off, here's a little Mecha! Over-all: Grasper Arm: Gun Arm: 360: La Jet-Pack Upper Torso: The British stand no chance against the might of La Franks! Screw you Parliment! So what if we stayed as a monarchy! Our Queen allowed us to eat frickin' cake biotch! Nothing in the ancient world stood a chance! La Patriot! Hope you enjoyed! Quote
Ricecracker Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I really like this! My only suggestion would be to make the legs thicker, adding more greebles in places, and also add more of the French colours, rather than the grays. Also, I think, Correct me if I'm wrong, it would be Les Franks . Quote
Zepher Posted February 19, 2009 Author Posted February 19, 2009 I suppose if you wanted to be grammatically correct... Thanks! I made the legs thin on porpuse, but I guess it didn't work out. Quote
Asuka Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 A nice and interesting background story and a neat and original mecha in a distinct color scheme. The cockpit section and the arms look pretty tough, although the backside of the arms could probably need some additional greebling... Quote
Zepher Posted February 23, 2009 Author Posted February 23, 2009 Thanks Asuka! This is something that I will be revisiting, later in my carrer, as I plan to keep it intact! Quote
Zepher Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 Okay, I hate bumping my own topics, but I honestly don't understand how on a site this big it's so hard to get more than two comments... Quote
Peppermint_M Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I like the legs but they do look a bit odd under such a bulky body/torso. Going for the Iron Giant style? And I agree, on a site this big no one ever seems to comment, I'm lucky to get more than two or three comments. *sigh* such is the way of the 'net. Quote

Ricecracker Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 ...Blah, Blah, Blah........or a Canadian mech since it would have the best of both French and British. Or since you're Canadian. Quote
Guss Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 nice moc^^ the colours are strangely put on it , especially on the top ! ( the blue/white/red top ) , but that's a cool mecha ^^ bien joué Zepher, Joli boulot! ^^ Quote
united brick Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 I agree with guss but its not realy a post steampunk age creation Quote
Zepher Posted March 2, 2009 Author Posted March 2, 2009 The colors are a tad strange I guess, but they're the French colors! I really couldn't figure out what to do with the top, so I just greebled it. Thanks for the comments guys! Quote
user Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 (edited) YAY! I am glad you finally finished it to tell the truth I thought you gave up on it! But it was worth waiting for everything is very good! The feet however are a bit thrown together but I love the arms. great creation as always! ~Computerbug Edited March 3, 2009 by computerbug Quote
Guss Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 they're the French colors! yeah I know, I meant that they are strangely organized^^ but that's cool anyway! Quote
Zepher Posted March 11, 2009 Author Posted March 11, 2009 Thaks Guss. Just the wording was wierd. Quote
hewkii9 Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Very nice! I agree with Peppermint that the legs seem a bit small, but the arms are very well done. My favorite arm [never thought I'd say that] is the right - the elbow is really nice and I like the flag on the arm. a Canadian mech since it would have the best of both French and British. Problem is, Lego hasn't made a dedicated beaver piece, who's gonna pilot it? Quote
