mania3 Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I'm not a huge Star Wars collector. I usually buy one or two now and then if it is a cool model. Needless to say, the UCS Millennium Falcon is incredible, but I never imagined shelling out the $500 cost. I found it for $100 off on Amazon.com today and I'm really tempted to pick it up along with the Sandcrawler. In the end, I'll be spending the $500 but getting a Sandcrawler as well. Check the find out if you like, but I look forward to suggestions from anyone who owns it as to whether I should get it.
Darth Legolas Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Totally worth it. 2 huge sets, definitely.
CopMike Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Hi! + Great build, big bad boy model, nice minifigs, lovely box, great for parts ones you´re tired of having it assembled - Kind of hard to display, not the cheapest set I have two of them, one built & one in box for future $$$ maybe. If you have the bucks - Do It Now (said with Arnold accent )! CopMike
Athos Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 I'm going to pass on it. But then I'm pretty much done with Star Wars and don't have space for such a monstrous set. And there are just too many other good sets coming down the pipeline, that I'd rather drop my money on those. Though I did enjoy the Sandcrawler. Lots of brown and three jawas... I'd say get that and skip the falcon. Steve
Ricecracker Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 I agree with Athos. I think that the best thing to do would be to get the Sandcrawler, which I think is a much better set than the Falcon. In the end it's up to you, but this is what I think
pr0visorak Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Well its a pretty good deal but doing this economic crisis I suggest saving up your money for neccessities. But its up tp you
Deinonychus Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Necessities Smecessities. Both those sets are worth it at full price, getting a deal makes it even sweeter. I say go for it.
fallentomato Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Well its a pretty good deal but doing this economic crisis I suggest saving up your money for neccessities. But its up tp you Yes, necessities: food, shelter, clothing and LEGO. I am tempted, but I am running low on display space in my apartment as it is, and I'm not yet ready to dismantle the Star Destroyer. Also, I feel like since I passed up on buying this at half price during the damaged merchandise sale at Brickworld last year, paying $400 is actually overpaying. But still, I'm tempted...
