RoflWafls Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 I spy with my little eyes a new back pack!! Snowtroopers have always had that backpack Quote
CF Mitch Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 (edited) Eeerrr... I might not understand what you are (or I am, for that matter) talking about, but I believe that's just part of the Hoth set Would be cool though if there'd be an Snowtrooper Battle Pack Greetings, CF W Edit: Ahw crap, I read battle pack instead of backpack... my bad ! The Rancor Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Wow! The minifigures in the Separatist Shuttle are awesome. However, that would be my only reason for buying it! The Endor set - such a perfect set, I can't really say much, but I hope the Ewoks are coloured when finished Oh, and I reckon the Hoth set will be £20, even though it only has about 160 pieces. Still, I might buy 2. I love those Hoth troopers Quote
Legoking Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 What, can it be, new EWOKs and SCOUT TROOPERS? Oh my gosh, I can not wait to get these new set. I am going to buy every single new Star wars set when they come out. I am getting so excited, I can't wait any longer. Quote

Whats new about the scout troopers? @amateurnewbie: I'm sorry but your name and your comment set you up for this. After going through 3 snowtrooper helmets and destroying two in order to result in my third perfect Galactic Marine helmet, I am definitely sure those backpacks have been on since snowtroopers were made. Darth Caedus Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 (edited) Tank Droid - -Looks schweet, will have to pick this puppy up. Echo Base - I really don't care about the Tauntaun, but all the troops are cool. Sep shuttle - OMG awesome. Nute Gunray and Onaconda Farr, plus more. That's just cool. Loved that shuttle ever since ROTS. Endor - looks really dull, hope the finished set will have more. I don't care for ewok catapults or yet another rehashed AT-ST. How about a TRUE bunker? Edited January 27, 2009 by Darth Caedus Quote
Icesaber Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Does anyone think the AT-ST could be a two-seater? It looks too narrow for TLC to incorporate one to me. Quote
Legoman Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 I doubt it. As you aid it doesn't look wide enough. Quote
JCC1004 Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 (edited) On the pic with the AT-ST they is a close view of the Endor Rebel and it looks like he has the AT-ST driver helmet in dark green ? same with the torso Edited January 28, 2009 by JCC1004 Quote

Those are the four-legged ones. Unless I'm confused. And you may be looking at the death star trooper from far away. Quote
CloneMe Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Please everyone stop complaining about the sets so far. They are just Pre lim pics. They will obviousely change. Did anyone notice the new hoth rebel goggles. They look sweet. Quote

I believe your looking at a ds trooper behind him. Quote
TheTacoMan Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I must have missed where they have already posted how much each set will be costing, i dont see the Endor set being that cheap. If you look closely at the new pictures, you can see little tags with the prices on them (i was only able to make out the endor one, the hoth one is too blurry) Quote

Just to let you know. You would have to base it off that for you to have a guess on what it will be where ever you live. Do we have any more pics. I can see the venator in the backround of one of the pictures. Id also like other views of stuff. The Boxes of the sets even say preliminary. So please stop fussing. THEY WILL CHANGE! General Magma Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 How are you disappointed with the ewoks? They aren't even finished with the colours yet. The non-colored ones look horrible. But they must be prelim.. Quote
JCC1004 Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 (edited) Remember, these are just prelims. You're right, it was a miss type, and remember where the endor rebels were on the prelim box? thats where that fig is on the box, so he's where the the endor rebel was on the prelim box pic, so that's probally a endor rebel. The death star trooper is in the bunker on the prelim box. And look at the torso! i's green! Edited January 28, 2009 by JCC1004 Quote

Yeah well, the new rebel googles are sweet, but the prelim. pictures from the Toy Fair doesn't really change, an example: Prelim Toy Fair: Click End version: Click Bricks Quote

When we go to a more published toyfair, that's when we should be expecting what we see. Quote

This prelim. picture was from the Toy Fair in the U.K. and the content was the same (the showing model and the box!), like we could see later in the end version. And you could find the right content in all the Toy Fairs from last year... 'Bricks' Quote

The rebels have different armor all around then the box shows, as well he Ewoks look different then on the box. Plus, we didn't even see inside the box of the Snail Tank, meaning that they might have the original, and better jetpacks as planned. Quote
Lt. Veers Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 After seeing the Toy Fair Pics, I think I have developed my view on these sets: Seperatist Shuttle- The design itself it really...."meh", but the Minifigs, now those blew me away. It's really nice that we can get all of those good figs in a small set like that. Tank Droid- Again, another "meh" set. Although, if it is priced at $20, I might buy a couple for the treads. Republic Y-Wing- The latest incarnation of this set dosen't look too bad, it's just a little bland in the figure category. If the price is decent, I may get it. Venator- Again, really nice figures, I can see those Senate Guard helmates ending up in the Castle line (Elves, mabye?), and the rest is okay, but I'm not really going head-over-heels for this. Hoth Battle- This set looks really nice. The turret is bad, but hey, we get Hoth Han, 2 Rebels and 2 Snowtroopers and a Taun Taun. Thats a lot of 'figs for a set that size. I am really looking foreward to this. Endor Battle- This baby is so amazing that I decided to not buy the Medieval Market and keep my money saved to buy this. But I hope the final version includes new Rebel helmates, instead of green kepis. I'm really looking forward to getting pics of the Home One, Mid-sized Millennium Falcon and more or less the Pirate Tank. Note-The above opinions are biased toward the OT sets. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 My price estimates (USD for anyone who cares enough to read.) Tank Droid/Echo Base: $20 Separatist Shuttle: $30-$40 CW Y-WING: $50 Venator: $100-$130 Endor Battle: Anywhere from $80 to $160. Let's hope it's leaning towards the first side. As for unreleased sets, The MF can be anywhere from $30-$70. We have to see it first, to see if it'll be a puny random remake, or just a normal downsized ship. And the Home One should be $80-$100, because like many, I doubt they'll actually make it good sized. I'm betting that if we're very lucky, Home One will be a hangar with admiral Ackbar. But I have huge doubts about the whole ship. Quote

You know I could see TLG charging $40 for the Separatist Shuttle even with the low piece count simply because of the figs involved. Quote
