Blackheart Brit Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 The battle pack thread showed the old minifg packs and got me thinking how many Redbeards I have. Wondered if you all have the same issue, more Redbeards than any other one pirate type. I have 11 or 12. Quote
radar92 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I have six, but I changed them a bit to fit in with the army. Their my engineers. Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I got 4 Redbeards as well. And now you say, I see I have more Redbeards then another pirate type. But I have more bluecoats though, but they aren't pirates right? Quote
Fluyt Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 (edited) I've got 6 of him. It's a pretty useless torso/minifig for me to have multiples of (saw it used with a morion in an army once, which looked pretty good, but I don't have enough morion helmets to go around for both my "spanish" soldiers and my redbeards). The most represented pirate in my collection/"army" is the black/red striped one, got 14 of him, redbeard is definately not outnumbering all my other pirates (got more of all the 3 types of pirates with a striped shirt and more of the pirate with blue vest with striped shirt underneath (with brown tricorne)+ more redcoats and bluecoats ofcourse). I count my minifigs by torso, not which official minifig combinations I have/could make. Edited February 2, 2009 by Fluyt Quote
Captain Dreadbrix Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 (edited) Only one - from the baracuda Edited February 2, 2009 by Captain Dreadbrix Quote
Neptune Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 (edited) One from Scull Island. Edited February 2, 2009 by Neptune Quote
Zorro Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 ABout 50, 40 of them are used as a Landwehr unit into my Napoleonic Army, I count them by torso as well. They are still quite cheap...so great for armybuilding IMO! Quote
Patriot720 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 (edited) I believe I have 4 or 5 from multiple pirate sets Edited February 2, 2009 by Patriot720 Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I use the torso's for semi-military persons like navigators, diplomats, royal guards and spies because of their chique uniforms. Quote
General Armendariz Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I have 3 not a lot but who needs alot? You only need alot if you build armies or for extra pieces. Quote
Legoking Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I have 5 RedBeards. I also have 1 RedBeard keychain that I got from LegoLand in 2006. Quote
BlueBard Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Some of them are customized (with decals! ) but I suppose I have no less than 15. Quote
Gobernador Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I have 10 or 11, one of them was the prize for the best tittle for my pirates novel, Los Brickorsarios Quote
Blackheart Brit Posted February 3, 2009 Author Posted February 3, 2009 HE does come with the hook and a peg leg which are excellent Pirte accesories. He also has the Bi-Corner hat. So he is a good one to have for those pieces. Quote
madoka Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Last I counted, I was at 55 complete red beards. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted February 4, 2009 Governor Posted February 4, 2009 Too bloody many! I haven't counted but I'd say over 25. Redbeard seems to be the most saturated Pirate mini-figure and 1994 was the only year he didn't appear in any new sets, so no wonder there is so many of him! Quote
Huntleyfx Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 This thread is making me rather sad, as I do not have any Redbeards at all (I was just a little too young for the first round of Pirates). I guess my pirate army is less army and more leaderless mob. (Oh well, they still give the Imperials a run for their money.) Quote
Etzel Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 (edited) I got one, from 6273 Rock Island Refuge. But I'm planning to get a couple of more from bricklink. I'm going to use them as Russian soldiers in an upcoming MOC. Edited February 4, 2009 by Etzel Quote
Dreamweb Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 (edited) Actually the quantity I have made it possible for me to make my Spanish troops using Redbeard torsos: All these torsos (10 as you can see) have been taken from complete Rebeard minifigs, and I got maybe 1 or 2 more after taking that picture. If only I had as many Broadsides or Woodhouses. Edited February 5, 2009 by Dreamweb Quote
Huntleyfx Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 I like the look of your Conquistadors. I never would have thought to use an Adventurers torso for Pirate-era troops. Quote
