I have a question about this ship's hull - is there any way to connect the hull sections in other way than this shown in the instructions? I mean, when you want to make the hull longer using some custom centre sections. Connecting the top parts is easy - they have studs, but does the bottom of the hull pieces have any holes for studs or anything? Does anyone have a picture of the bottom side of the hull?

The hull sections are connected with tabs like train tracks. the tabs are on the top plate and the plastic piece on the bottom is held on by friction only. It has no stud connections at all.

Something like this.

I seem to recall a very detailed post about this in Lugnet .pirates accompanied by an amzing MOC using the 4+ hull ('amazing' given the limitations...)

Hope that helps make up for my personal lack of knowledge on the subject ;)

If you mean this, I've seen this before and this doesn't answer my question, but thanks for your help.

I am fairlly sure Richie did an earlier review of the set with connection details...

I did say though

OK, I just wasn't sure no connections = no studholes at all. There could always be studholes that aren't connected (for example to fix the ship to a baseplate - like in the small boats of the classic Pirate line - or whatever).

I am fairlly sure Richie did an earlier review of the set with connection details...

It's here and it doesn't answer my question either :)

Sorry, I won't risk another strike... ;)

Thanks anyway. The reason I asked that question was because I was thinking of buying the 4+ ship and making a minifig scaled ship using its hull - just like in the case of the Dodelijk Klompschoen. BTW have you seen this ship? It uses the 4+ ship's hull with four centre sections!

I finally chose Red Beard Runner instead, but the question remains open... :)

Apparently there is an official middle section... There's a post about it in one of these threads here... Can't remember which one though...

This set contains one middle section and I was thinking of ways to male the ship longer without buying more 7075s to have more original sections, but to build an additional custom centre section and somehow integrate it into the hull.

I'm from Poland. About the nearest supplier - I haven't checked lately. Actually I never ordered anything by bricklink and I'm not 100% sure if I know exactly how it works. :$

I think that would go to section other than "Castle & Pirates" so please post a link to that topic here if you make it... I don't frequently browse other sections ;) If you don't make it I'll probably PM you. And thanks for your help!
