Sir Dillon Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 Hey, Here is a pirate vig I built Deeplink: http://brickshelf.com/gallery/Dillon/vigne...piratevig01.jpg Folder when public: http://brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=147394 What's supposed to be happening is that the pirate captain went out with one of the crew and buried the treusure, then shot the crew member so he wouldn't tell anyone where the tresure was hidden. 'Dead men tell no tales' Please let me no what you think. Quote
Norro Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 Graphic.... the clear red tiles are very un-legoish ; ) Nice concept though... God Bless, Nathan Quote

Darkness Falls Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Very nice. I like the postioning of the figures, and the blood is a nice, realistic touch. You're very skilled at creating these, Keep it up. Quote

Nothing Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Cool. The transparent red makes it look a bit more like real blood, because that's almost the same color. :) Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 11, 2005 Governor Posted November 11, 2005 What's this pirate vignette doin in ere? I'm gonna put it with all the other pirate vignettes in the LEGO Pirates (and Castle) Forum. Ok its there now. Obviously! *wacko* Quote
Sir Dillon Posted November 12, 2005 Author Posted November 12, 2005 Hey phes. Not that I don't mind you keeping my thread up at the top of the forum or anything, but why do you keep re-posting the same post everyday? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 12, 2005 Governor Posted November 12, 2005 Congratulations on being the first to notice and comment upon that. Bout time someone did... Its all part of the organisation... When the thread gets over so many posts I'll stop doing it... Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 15, 2005 Governor Posted November 15, 2005 Congratulations on being the first to notice and comment upon that. Bout time someone did... Its all part of the organisation... I bump threads till they get over 20 posts... Sometimes threads aren't very popular on their first run, so leave it a week or two then everyone has something to say. Interesting how it works like that. Quote
Berry Syedow Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Here's an example of what a vignette should look like. ;-) Simple yet effective. Sir Dillon, I am confused as to why a grave marker would be present before the captain shot his crew member? (If it's a treasure marker then I could see how it might be a clever way to discourage treasure hunters from pillaging the captain's plunder.) Why didn't the captain bury the treasure by himself? Wouldn't the rest of the crew be suspicious when one of their lads doesn't show up? Good work. I've always been fond of this vig. Quote

Interesting how it works like that. No wonder I kept coming across stuff I had seen on my epic journey of catching up on MOCs. Has the date order been sacrificed as a consequence or am I missing some fancy-computer-literate-person-trick? Thanks and God Bless, Nathan Quote
