My cousin and I have been playing around with a mecha design, we created a little game out of it.

Rules:

Each player has a character and a mecha.

The character's armor and hat can be customized to add defense or attack.

The mecha has to follow a standardized design, but the four limbs can be replaced with different weapons to add attacks.

The main point of the game is to knock the opponents cockpit off the mech, which is only attached with one stud.

After winning a match, the winner can pick a brick from a pre-sorted pile of SNOT pieces to create new weapons for the mecha.

Sounds kinda stupid, but it gets fun when you keep trying to create new weapons!

Here are some pics:

The cockpits are detachable: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tin7/3099862212/, http://www.flickr.com/photos/tin7/3099862948/

And, we conceived a little tournament for our next family reunion, where all our other cousins would build their own mechs and pilots, and battle out in The Grand Prix: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tin7/3099028625/ (Grand Prix set from Speed Racers)

The game sounds a little corny, but it was fun, at least my younger cousin enjoyed it immensely; the joy of seeing a young child smile :sweet:

I want to hear some ideas on how to improve this, hope to get some replies!
