Athos Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 We were putting up Christmas decorations and didn't have a nice nativity to display, so I decided to rectify that: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Mi.../nativity01.jpg While, I'm quite fond of Mary's hair, I'm not real happy with how Baby Jesus turned out, though. Any suggestions? Here's the rest of the gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=355428 Steve Quote
SupremeCommmanderGrievous Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Very cool! Beautiful Job as always Athos! I agree I really like Mary's hair. Maybe use a normal minifig for Baby Jesus? Quote
Athos Posted December 8, 2008 Author Posted December 8, 2008 The first Noel the [miniland] angel did say Was to certain poor [miniland] shepherds in fields as they lay In fields where they lay keeping their [miniland] sheep... I bet you can't guess the latest additions to my miniland nativity: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Mi.../nativity02.jpg And I also redesigned Baby Jesus to something less barrell shaped... Your angel and shepherd are great as well, but I am not sure how I like the teeth as feathers, they look more lke teeth to me. Quote

Athos Posted December 15, 2008 Author Posted December 15, 2008 Yay, I think this is the first time I've been front-paged. Steve Quote
Hinckley Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Well, congratulations! I think it's really cool. And I learned something too! I always thought Balthazar was the African King, but I was wrong! Great work Steve! Quote
Athos Posted December 15, 2008 Author Posted December 15, 2008 And I learned something too! I always thought Balthazar was the African King, but I was wrong! Actually, you may be right. I just slapped names on them when I was photo editing. Though Balthasar was played by a white guy in Ben-Hur... Steve Quote
Darth_Legois Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Nice I might have to make a mini-fig scale one... But I dont know what I would use for Joseph or Mary. I guess I could use Jedi torsos... Anyway it looks good Quote
Legoking Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 I would take the baby out of the crib and put it in Jesus's or Marry's arms. Quote
Hinckley Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 I would take the baby out of the crib and put it in Jesus's or Marry's arms. You have a profound misunderstanding of who the baby is... Quote

Athos Posted December 16, 2008 Author Posted December 16, 2008 I would take the baby out of the crib and put it in Jesus's or Marry's arms. Jesus is the baby. Joseph is the guy with Mary. More information. Steve Quote
LuxorV Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Very nice creation, Athos The thing I like the most is the Angel with that beautiful trumpet. It's the best brick built trumpet I've seen so far LuxorV Quote
