Oky Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 (edited) Hi there! This is the first Space MOC I've posted here. It's a sleek little starfighter called "The Green Lightning" that I have built with the urge of creating a MOC using mostly green parts. (Lime) Green is my favorite color, you know. Here it is: It has one engine on each wing and a hyperdrive at the rear top. That hyperdrive engine is made using instructions I have found on Brickshelf, so credit for it goes to it's designer (whose name I forgot). It doesn't look as good on my starfighter as I had hoped, but it still works. Here is a shot of the back: Just like the ones of the star cruiser in Disney's Lilo & Stitch, the flaps of the engines (or whatever you may call them) spread out to give the ship a boost: Here is a shot of the Cockpit: Even the Pilot is green! Well, that's pretty much it. There isn't much to this little MOC. It's actually kind of old, too - I just never got around to post it. I have already taken it apart and made a Green Lightning Mark II out of it (as seen here). Maybe I'll post a whole topic about it too some day. I hope you liked it. Comments are appreciated. DJ Force Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Very interesting idea to use those shovels! But the box on the top seems a little bit too big. It kills the overall very aerodynamic look of the ship. Quote
Batbrick Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Awesome little ship Oky! I love the green colour scheme and the use of the old style cockpit, really makes it feel like an old school space fighter. I for one love the green box at the back, sure it isn't streamlined but I love a little boxiness in ships. Hope to see more space creations from you in the future! Batbrick Away! Quote
pr0visorak Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Great job there Love the green style Quote
djo Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 cook look starfighter. color combination is great. nice engine design on wings. Quote
Skinny Boy Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Hmmm, yes, I like what you've done here. The other day I took some pieces from Zam's ship for a chopper. Nice job, but is the pilot a stylish gambler? Quote
xenologer Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Its nice but I alsmost wish the wings would angle downwards a bit. espeically from the back view., to offset the engine going up on top. Quote
Guss Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 it's a nice spaceship ! I love your engine's flaps^^ but I have to say I'm not a fan of it colours ^^ anyway, that's a nice moc Quote
Oky Posted December 4, 2008 Author Posted December 4, 2008 Thanks for all the kind words, guys. cook look starfighter. Huh? Erm... Thanks... I guess... Hmmm, yes, I like what you've done here. The other day I took some pieces from Zam's ship for a chopper. Nice job, but is the pilot a stylish gambler? Well, I didn't want the pilot to look too much like the Green Goblin, so I exchanged his torso. But the only other green torso that I had and that suited a space pilot, was this one. Its nice, but I almost wish the wings would angle downwards a bit. especially from the back view., to offset the engine going up on top. Hm, yeah, I suppose that would have looked better. Oh well. But as you can see in the link in the first post, I have used that technique on the Green Lightning Mark II. it's a nice spaceship ! I love your engine's flaps^^ but I have to say I'm not a fan of it colours ^^ Well, you aren't a big fan of the Power Miners either. But yeah, I like those flaps a lot myself! Hope to see more space creations from you in the future! You will! I have made several Mechs that I haven't posted yet, and I plan on making a space pirate ship some day! Quote
mania3 Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Hah! Cool use of the shovels. I didn't recognize them until I read someone else's comment. Quote
