Hello all!

My name is Anders Isaksson, I'm new in this forum, but I'm old in other respects. 54 years of life, ~12-15 years of internet Lego (I don't actually remember when I started). You may have seen me post on rec.toys.lego in the old days, and on lugnet since it started.

I'm from Sweden, and is probably (hopefully) best known as the creator of the BlockCAD Lego drawing program.

With real Lego, I'm mostly into small scale building (as I don't have that many bricks).

Another large part of my computer time is spent in the Transport Tycoon community or working on my endless project there, Swedish Trains.

Real Life (wife, three kids, house, work, relatives, etc.) takes most of my time, but I like to sit down at the computer and browse other's MOCs and think "some people have much too much Lego" :-)

Hello and welcome Anders ^^ I think you'll say that people have way too many bricks a lot of time here^^

and that's a nice program you created, good job^^

Äntligen en svensk till, det finns verkligen inte så många på EB. :pir-hmpf_bad:

BlockCAD is freeware, but if you really like the program, I would be happy if you send me a piece of (real) Lego, and maybe a postcard from your home town.

Well, I have received about 300-400 bricks and a wall full of postcards from BlockCAD users. There's also a bunch of computer magazines that have written about it, and/or featured it on CD. Some of them (magazines) has even paid for the publishing rights.

The best thing is when I hear from schools that they are using BlockCAD, both as a pastime and as a tool for lessons in 3D visualization or a first introduction to CAD programs. I believe BlockCAD is used on all continents of the globe, except for Antarctica :-)

Det var ett coolt program som du har gjort! Jag ska prova det rejält någon dag när tiden finns. Kolla in på tåg & stad avdelningen så hittar du säkert något intressant!
