Skinny Boy Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Last time Hey all loyal viewers. This time, 'Enough' needs your help! Yes, its true. I am in need of the following: 1. Perspective. The finale of the series will involve a lot of perspective building. I'm talkin a view from far away, microscale. Anyone who feels they can share how to build well in microscale, tell me. 2. A helicopter. Also being featured in the later parts. I will need a fairly easy-to-make military helicopter. Not looking for one based on a real model, just one with not a lot of pieces and in black/tan colour. 3. Help in building the surprise. If I told you, I would give away the whole ending, so... If you think you can help me with any or all 3 items, PM me, or post here and i'll PM you. Please don't post what you think the surprise is here, I really don't want to ruin it for the really great fans. Note: I am not commissioning any builds here. If you feel you have a black/tan helicopter that I could use, don't expect me to ask for a price . I am merely looking for the basic build of one. Another note: The surprise partly applies to those who can build well in microscale. If I tell someone what the surprise is in a PM reply, don't post it anywhere! Or else Disclaimer: The end part will not be the next part. In fact, don't expect it anytime soon. I am asking far in advance, as I am about to make a whole load of BL orders (4 Christmas ) and want to know if theres anything else I should be getting. Thanks for looking. Quote
AwesomeStar Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Perspective help: In the DS Playset, the detention block has a small amount of building, then a sticker which looks like it keeps on going. Also, the floor uses slanted plates. So I suggest you either go with a decal, or use slanted plates, and arrange the buildings, getting smaller and smaller in line with teh plates. Quote
Skinny Boy Posted November 22, 2008 Author Posted November 22, 2008 Thanks, but thats not what i'm looking for. Its my fault, I should have posted it differently. I'm looking for someone who can build a scene as if it were seen from far away, in my case, from a helicopter. So its not a building interior, but a whole outdoor scene. Quote
Pencoin Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Well, you can use those new boxes in gray stacked up on each other, thats very effective. Quote
Skinny Boy Posted November 22, 2008 Author Posted November 22, 2008 Well, you can use those new boxes in gray stacked up on each other, thats very effective. Do you mean these: In Bley, for a skyscraper? Yes, I can definitely use that. Thanks Pencoin. I know its hard to suggest things because I haven't given much info (mainly because the surprise) but anything that looks like something else, from a distance would help. Quote
Pencoin Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 You're bang on the money. Happy to help. Quote
z_zadar Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 I made a story wich takes place in a village seen from up above. http://storyatures.lotrab.com/Prica.aspx?p=Prica005 (not translated yet, sorry) Click at photos, to browse them. I didn't try to make very reallistic scene, just needed an atmosphere for my strory. Maybe that's what you're looking for. And for the surprise part, I'll do than on PM ;) Quote
Skinny Boy Posted November 23, 2008 Author Posted November 23, 2008 Thanks z_zadar. Any microscale scenes will help in their own way. Thanks for the PM. I've got a good helicopter going, but it will be hard to take pics of the inside during the final scene. I may have to make one side removable for photographing purposes, which won't be that easy Quote
Skinny Boy Posted November 25, 2008 Author Posted November 25, 2008 Sorry about the double post, but this is important: 'Enough', may have to end at Christmas. I'm sorry to dissappoint (if anyone ) but I've realised I will have nearly no free time after the Christmas break. One option I have is to build and photograph the Final scenes during Christmas, but keep going with the series and post the finale later. How would everyone feel about that? Should I make another poll? At this point, I still need loads of help with the microscale part, so come on! Get your typing gloves on and send me a PM, or post here! Quote
kill will Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Hmm, how large of a micro-scale diorama would you need? And would it be a city or the country? I may be able to help with that. Quote
Skinny Boy Posted November 27, 2008 Author Posted November 27, 2008 Definitely part of the city, but its on the coastline, so it will look sorta like a country. I'm still oblivious to the scaling down of things. I've been trying some stuff in LDD, but it never looks right. The size, well how big are microscaled parts of cities usually? Though its only part of the city, i'm unsure of how it would look when photographing - will the background ruin the whole effect and such. Thanks, looking forward to any help you can give. Quote
Skinny Boy Posted November 29, 2008 Author Posted November 29, 2008 Sorry for another double post, just thought I'd show y'all the helicopter so far. Well, only the guns and interior actually: The Grenade launcher/machine gun: And the grenades being fed in: Interior: Like I said, it'll be hard to photograph this part. Other gun: Just a gun on the other side. Thanks for looking, and I still need help, but Thanks to all support so far Quote
