Batbrick Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Hey guys, I recently discovered the wonderful site that is Scans Daily recently and am now having a lot of fun finding some of my favourite stories. I know a lot of you out there are Dark Knight fans but haven't read a comic, so I thought I might post this little gem for you. It centers around Two-Face, who while was pretty cool in TDK was also incredibly rushed as a villain, so I reckon you'll like this: Two of a Kind You have to be over fourteen to view. The short is part of a collection of black and white shorts in a graphic novel called Batman: Black and White. This one is made by Bruce Timm, one of the makers of BTAS and it is drawn in his style. I hope you like and don't be afraid to ask for any other links or post some of your own! I find this story to be really sad, love the characterisation of Harvey here. Batbrick Away! Quote
Guss Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 nice comics, I really enjoyed to read it^^ Quote
CF Mitch Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Thanks Batbrick ! That was an amazing story to read. Poor Harvey indeed... Quote
Zepher Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 I kind of like him better in the movie. I'm not a huge fan of comics, and haven't read to many, but his injury seems more likely to drive him isane in the movie than in the books. Quote

How do you know it is better in the movie unless you read the comics too? EDIT: And for anyone who wants to read anothe,r i'll get around to posting a link to another short soon! Batbrick Away! Quote
Pickerel Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 A really good read. I love the conflict between good and evil in Two-Face stories, any super hero or villain can beat someone up, but how do you fight yourself? I think Harvey's character is the second best of all super hero villains(no one beats the Joker ) and around 10th- 15th overall in The Great Pickerelian List of Best Villains. Overall I think this is a good read, but I don't think the insane supervillain with two personalities could really be cured by a plastic surgery and a some therapy! Above average, but not great. h.k. Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Wow. Jeez, poor Two-Face... He was just solidified as my favorite Batman character. I like some Batman villains have sad back stories, like Two-Face and Mr. Freeze. Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 Mmmmmm...I read this before. It was part of the Batman vs. Two-Face DC comic book compilation; It had some classic stuff, some new stuff, and then this. It's a pretty interesting comic, and it certainly makes you think. Quote
Brainbox Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 I've already read this as well. In fact, I sort of own it. I have a book that looks at the history of Batman, and there are a few comics printed in it. This is one of them. Or rather, a new version of this with greyscale shading rather than stark black and white. It's a good read, and like you BB2, I love the way Two-Face has been done here. Plus it's BTAS style, which is always great. "With the rest of the crazy people." Quote
