I don't know if any of you guys are interested but here is something I did on photoshop, a screenshot from "Pirate: The Movie" (not a real movie, obivously: To make a stop motion with this much photoshop would be very time consuming!)

I might make some more because it was very fun! Thanks to Mister Phes for the background :)

Oh, and I'm sorry if you came to this thread expecting news of a LEGO pirate movie :pir-classic:

And is there a Pirates: The Movie? Good job anyway, but you need to name your threads better or people will get annoyed. I did come here looking for a pirate movie, and other people will too. Not good. But some good charoma keying.

Thanks, and if people do get annoyed then they probably have some anger issue. It's just a title :pir_laugh2: Thanks anyway :)

EDIT: The anger issue isn't meant to offend anyone, I mention this just incase people don't get my humour.

Ok. No worries. But did you consider making a brickfilm? I am hounding the admins to start a brickfilm forum, and if you saw Oceans on End #1 - The Island, most of that was made using freeware with the exeption of Vegas Movie Studio. If you decide to give it a go and want some advice, PM me.

I used to make brickfilms, I've made quite a few but my camera has broke, and I'm saving up to get a new and better one :) Thanks for the help :)

EDIT: Do you have a link to the film?

Are your films on YouTube? And what type of camera are you saving for? I just use a Logitech QuickCam Pro - $35AUD.

is the YouTube link to Oceans on End #1 - The Island.

BrickFace Studios.com is my website where you can download music etc.

No, I never put them anywhere. The sad thing is, after my computer died I had to completely start it again. So I lost EVERYTHING! Annoying, I need a mac :P

I'm just looking for a digicam that is webcam compatible, with a decent resolution.

Ouch! Problem is, use a Mac, there goes a tonne of great Windows designed freeware.

I think my QuickCam is good, so it really depends on your budget to decide what type of camera you buy.

I use an animating program called Anisazi which is free, that just needs a webcam. I would recommoend it because I really hat movies with anything lower than 12FPS and even that is a bit low. I usually shoot a 15PS.

Like I said, if you need any advice help or anything, don't hesitate to contact me about it.

Do you have a tutorial for that water ?

And if you have a mac you can use this:

framebyframeleopard

in my opinion it's much better and more user-friendly than Anisazi or sth. like that...

Thanks. I had a look at the frame leopard, but I use a Windows XP based Dell inspiron 1520. And what water did you mean, because I didn't actually use the water software in the final edit of OoE 1, but I can still provide a tutorial for Squirz Water Reflections if you like. But then, it is an easy app to use and you can download it from the brickfilms.com resources page.

I agree that the compositing is very good - you could probably make a tutorial to teach other users your technique.

I also agree the thread title is quite misleading, perhaps it could benefit from a thread description that clarifies the matter.

I mean the water in the first picture of this thread.

Thanks for sharing "Squirz Water Reflections" But I will try to learn it by myself. :pir-classic:

No worries. If you were after the reflection effect, Squirlz does that, and you can render it off into avi. format.
