Brockenlok Posted July 24 Posted July 24 (edited) Hi everyone, alongsite expanding my rolling stock, I’m planning my first train module. The plan is to model the Eisfelder Talmühle station—located on the Harzquerbahn and Selketalbahn lines—in 1:41 scale to match my Brocken locomotive. I intend to use "4w" track, with the turnouts built to R84 specifications. Since the actual station is unfortunately a bit too large for a module layout that remains reasonably portable, I’ll initially only be replicating the station building and the first two tracks. As a "trick" to justify this, the connection to the Selketalbahn will be closed off (let's just say there’s construction work going on in the Selke Valley, so trains are only running between Wernigerode and Nordhausen ☺️). That said, I’m not ruling out future expansion; the additional tracks could be connected later on. Here’s what the setup should look like: I also want to build it as a winter scene, because the HSB has a very special atmosphere in winter. That’s the plan for now. It’ll be a while before I create the first rough draft using actual bricks, though—I need to finish one or two other projects first ;-) Best regards, Niklas Edited July 24 by Brockenlok Quote

I >love< such drawings for a plan. I really do. They feel "real" - "serious" - a rock solid base. Thank you so much for sharing - I'll stay tuned! All the best Thorsten Quote

Feuer Zug Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Promising design. I can't wait to see your station and HSB dampfloks in action. Quote
