OwnGaming Posted July 24 Posted July 24 (edited) It has been a while since I last shared an update, but I’d like to take a moment to present my Peterbilt 379 truck, some of you may already be familiar with it 🙂 I’ve also submitted this model to LEGO Ideas, feel free to support it if you like it!: https://ideas.lego.com/product-ideas/f49ef6a6-cb0c-43e9-8418-6e90e267d518 I’ll be sharing some work-in-progress photos soon, so stay tuned! The Peterbilt truck has front suspension, and a little bit flexible axles at the back (connected by rubber pieces at some points) Both back axles are connected to a working fake 6-inline engine with moving pistons. There is no HOG but the steering works with the steering wheel. I also started with building the truck in real life already, currently gathering all the parts. I decided to build it red, because some important parts, where not yet avaliable in dark red. Edited July 27 by OwnGaming Merged two posts in one. Quote
Milan Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Let's make a proper presentation of the model, then feel free to include a small Ideas link. Quote
allanp Posted July 26 Posted July 26 I am sorely tempted to feature this topic already, but I'll hold off until there's a physical build. The design looks superb though. The way you made the messy looking bed sheets is chefs kiss (insert imaginary chefs kiss Lego emoji here). It's only a shame that we probably wouldn't get all those lovely chrome pieces. I've wanted a serious successor to the model team Black Cat for so long! Looking forward to seeing what technical functions it has. It looks as though you have suspension and steering. Is there a HOG? Quote
OwnGaming Posted July 27 Author Posted July 27 Thank you so much!! I hope this counts as a better presentation, otherwise let me now :D Quote

lowlead Posted July 29 Posted July 29 (edited) Absolutely gorgeous - king of the haulers in the U.S. I had to smile when our recent World Cup guests were floored by all the variation in the trucks parked at Buc-ee's If there were ever a way to get all the chrome parts I would build one in black immediately. Awesome work! Edited July 29 by lowlead Quote
starwars_lover5000 Posted July 29 Posted July 29 I love it but because of all the chrome it might not get accepted, other wise it looks awesome, kinda reminds me of the rhino from the old mask tv show (the cartoon) Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Wonderful model, of course the chrome on the rendering does a lot! Just supported! Quote
