Custom Technic add-ons (3D print)

Preparing to use Technic parts and motors for STEM robotics projects for my grand-children, I designed this idle wheel for a two motors robot.

It is easy to print on a 3D printer, and assembled (glued) with four 8mm steel balls. 3x3 and 3x4 models are available.

Huh, what's the purpose of the three balls on the side? Are they creating a surface for the bottom ball, in contact with the ground, to rotate on?

Hello, yes, it is just a primitive ball bearing!

I normally use these steel balls for my mazes, e.g.:

Difficult to compare, of course. Friction and size could be basic parameters to compare.
