Khorne Posted yesterday at 01:30 PM Posted yesterday at 01:30 PM Cesare Luppino and retinue: (L-R) foot soldier; Italo the smith; Enzo Luppino, head of the Luppino family; Cesare Luppino; Lorenzo Luppino; Matilda Luppino. Enzo has accompanied Cesare to be his announcer. Cesare jolted awake at the sounds of fists banging on the room of his door. Drowsily and with everything still in a haze, he pushed away one of the women laying next to him and reached for his trousers, hidden somewhere in the myriad of clothing items. As soon as he found them, he put them on and scuffled to the door. Noticing the sun coming through the window, he couldn't help but chuckle as he reminisced about the past night. His smiled quickly faded as he opened the door and stood eye to eye with his father. Twirling his fine mustache and raising an eyebrow in contempt, the old man didn't wait for an invitation and stepped inside. "Sure, please do come in", Cesare managed to mutter softly in his father's footsteps. Enzo surveyed the room and turned to his eldest son. "This is a unique opportunity the King has given us, with the granting of the late Lord Rein's slot in the Joust". He gestured the room theatrically. "And this is how you prepare yourself? This is the state I find you in?" "Get it together, Cesare. I need the Wolf in you to defend our family. Or was I wrong and should I've opted to send your brother Cosimo instead?" Cesare tried to ease the tension by laughing away the accusations. "Relax, father. This is how I focus. I'll be ready when needed." "You better be," the old man snarked back, "You don't know what I've had to do to get us here. A Luppino makes his own fate, remember that. You can thank your mother as well for that matter. Your slot nearly would've gone to one of the von Greifstors, but the man mysteriously fell sick in the last instant." The Wolf of Namere eyed his father suspiciously. Cesare had always been a warrior first and foremost himself. A knight who upheld some aspects of chivalry, even though his House was far from the ancient nobility of other Houses. He was aware of the shady businesses his family participated in, after all they were Namereen, but never quite fully condoned it. Cesare wasn't surprised that Enzo mentioned his mother. Machinations of this magnitude were her signature. Cesare was sure she even played his father in a grander scheme, and he wasn't even aware of it. "I shall go to the training yard right away," Cesare replied seriously, eager to get out of the situation. "I'll pick up Lupito to squire for me." His father shook his head. "I don't know what you see in that runt, Cesare, but do whatever suits you." Enzo placed his hand on Cesare's shoulder. "Give the people a grand show. Remind them who the Wolf is." ----- My short vacation is over, so here is the replacement for Lord Rein van Helborg. I was always bound to enter a Luppino, but wanted to expand the world and further an overall story arch first. Quote
NOD Posted yesterday at 05:20 PM Posted yesterday at 05:20 PM (edited) It's interesting to see the whole Lupino family. It's great that Cesare Luppino wants to voluntarily participate in the tournament for the honor of the Namera family. The standard with the wolf's head looks good. I'm glad your character Lorenzo Luppino is involved. Enrique (A braggart and windbag): "I'm asking for a friend, does Matilda Luppino have a boyfriend?
