jansued Posted Wednesday at 01:28 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:28 PM (edited) As expected, mercenaries from Corrington noticed the weakness in Osnabrugge's defense and attacked in great numbers. But their commanders, enraged with emotions of the good ol' times and manipulated by the biggest worldwide Brickian Gilde claiming only products from the forges of Billund are delivering the quality needed to win every battle, decided to equip their troops with battle proven, though outdated weapons and armor: the famous shorthand broadsword, the morning star and the simple lance. Von der Leye's newly formed militia does not have the luxury of clinging to traditions and chose their equipment from new forges from countries far far away. Rhinmetall Battle Axes, War Hammers, Flails and Longswords did not have the tradiotinal values - but they are superior in the lethality! As the attack began, ladders were raised and the oldest and most experience soldiers lead the attack. King Ole Kirk Christiansen were among the first fighters on top of the wall and was stopped immeadetly by Jette Other soldiers were greeted by a barrage of arrows and bullets. Und the Command of Brutal Brunhild not many men made it to the top. And those who did, just met their fate... In the City, Baron Von der Leye managed to send Reinforcements to the Wall. The old town guards did not really appreciate the call of duty, but they were needed as the second line of defense. Though being the youngest member in the militia, Sieglinde gave her very best and tossed severel ladders away from the wall. It was at exactly this moment when this ruthless Corrington Mercenary regretted his latest choices in life.... How will this fight end? Stay tuned... How will this fight end? Stay tuned... Khorne Posted Wednesday at 07:51 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:51 PM Great to see another build for this chapter. I like how you did the ramparts with the curved arches holding them up and how you did the railing for the stairs. Something I'll have to remember. The way you made the hand cannon is also definitely something I'll use in the future. Funny story as well, though I can imagine that this isn't the real actual king of Corrington leading the stray mercenary brigands . Great collection of Lion Knights as well. I wish I had as many. jansued Posted Wednesday at 07:57 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 07:57 PM Actually, these knights from classic castle came from set 6077 in 1980 which I got for Christmas. I painted the helmet black to have a Darth Vader like minifig.. ;-) Quote
NOD Posted Thursday at 01:24 AM Posted Thursday at 01:24 AM A magnificent diorama! The city wall is authentic and built with many details. The action-packed fight scenes are very well done. I especially like the fight scene with Sieglinde where she knocks over the ladder with her halberd. The reinforcements are funny; most hope they won't be needed except for Rosalinde. The story is exciting and includes numerous photos. Quote
