Mandalorianknight Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Part of entry set 1: World Beyond Worlds The Sithly Six are a group of six extremely dangerous criminals that have been terrorizing the outer rim. Attempts by local law enforcement and even Imperial Stormtroopers have so far failed to bring down this fragile alliance of powerful aliens, who seem motivated purely by a desire to cause mayham. L-R: Quen Beeck, C'turnnsk, Sand, Doctor Ot Octavi, Roma Boros, and Xamwell Nill Quen Beeck: An Umbaran veteran, Quen found some work as a holodrama crew member after the Clone Wars. Frustration with his job led to experiments with the combat gases umbarans use in battle, which addled his brain and led to him stealing a set costume, affixing his old combat helmet and stim sytem, and committing crimes as the shadow illusioner. An accomplished chemist, Quen disperses modified versions of umbaran gases to give victims vivid hallucinations. Roma Boros: A maniacal nautolan serial killer, Roma Boros- better known by his media alias of the Kambocha Kowakian due to his green color and characteristic maniacal laughter- is as intelligent as he is insane. Modifying an old STAP into the so-called Kowakian Kutter, Roma seems less concerned with stealing money and more concerned with causing chaos with his modified thermal detonators. Xamwell Nill: Xamwell was a very brief human apprentice of Maul during his time as the Shadow Lord. Xamwell tried his luck at usurping his master too soon, and was irrevocably damaged as a result, his connection to the force twisted. Xamwell now exceeds at summoning force lightning, to the point it constantly builds even when he doesn't wish to use it, but is no longer able to use the force in any other way. Despite his fearsome appearance, he simply wants to steal enough money to live comfortably and find a cure for his affliction. Doctor Ot Octavi: A genius Mon Cala, Octavi lost his legs in a cave dive gone wrong. Dissatisfied with the poor prosthetics he was given by modders, Octavi drew inspiration from creatures of his homeworld to create additional appendages- though as his expertise lies more in droids than biomechanics, the results impacted his psyche. He's now obsessed with proving he's the smartest in the galaxy, and steals to fund his experiments. C'turnnsk: A Trandoshan biologist, C'turnnsk seeks to understand the limits of his species' regeneration, and frequently appears emaciated or skeletal-though no less ferocious. Sand: A Giant of Living Stone, it's unknown what Sand did to be outcast from his home planet, but he now serves as muscle under Octavi and Boros. (Obviously these guys are based on the sinister six. I thought it would be fun to take "scum and villainy" a bit literally, and translating supervillains into the star wars aesthetic was a fun challenge. Turning the Goblin Glider into a STAP was probably my favorite move.) Quote
MKJoshA Posted May 8 Posted May 8 Starting us off strong! Great group of figs. I think our entry pushes the limits of what is "Star Wars." But you've done a good job still getting them to fit in-universe. Quote
n1majneb Posted May 8 Posted May 8 I appreciated the Sinister six references and the fitting stories to seat these characters within the Star Wars Universe, Good job! (Now, if only there was a young student who could create syth webs on command...) Quote

Umbarans use mind-altering gases, trandoshans are regenerating lizards, Giants of Living Stone are in the yoda comic, sith lightning is electricity control, etc. (Even Doc Ock being a Mon Cala is a callback to the Mon Cala that was turned into a grievous clone in the 2015 Vader comic.) Yeah, I thought it was pushing it. I'll give you fair warning that while this is my only IP blending one, I am doing something potentially also limit-pushing (but within the written rules) with the alphabet fighter. If it ends up being too much I've got no issue having them disqualified- and I have more traditional entries planned I'm hoping to get to as well- but I wanted to try to be pretty creative on this one, to the point of pushing the boundaries a bit. 5 hours ago, n1majneb said: I appreciated the Sinister six references and the fitting stories to seat these characters within the Star Wars Universe, Good job! My original plan included a spider-man like figure using the 2447pb06 visor and a clear web-strand lightsaber, but I decided that was maybe a little too far from the SW aesthetic. Quote
