Ben S Posted May 2 Posted May 2 (edited) I managed to find some time to make a little build: a microscale version of Frostwatch Keep. I've already built the gatehouse at minifigure scale; we'll see if I eventually get around to building the rest of it. Hope you like it! Frostwatch Keep is a small fortress on the northern edge of Mitgardia that serves as a vigilant outpost against the Algus threat. Such dangers may seem forgotten in peaceful times, but the garrison remains alert, conscious of the importance of their duty. It has clearly seen better days and could not withstand an attack for long, but it would hold just enough to light the beacon and alert the rest of Mitgardia of the upcoming danger. Edited May 2 by Ben S I keep forgetting how to attach images... Quote
The Stad Posted May 2 Posted May 2 Great micro build. I can’t find the original to compare it against, but it’s got a great composition and proportions, and you’ve got some NPU with the stairs and the mountain assembly. I also appreciate the snowy trees off to the side giving the whole image a little more balance. Quote
Ben S Posted May 3 Author Posted May 3 Thanks a lot @The Stad ! Here it is, I should have linked it: Quote
The Stad Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Well, now this just makes me excited to see you build out the rest of the modules! Quote
Ben S Posted May 4 Author Posted May 4 Thanks! I’d like to at least build the tower. I’ve been working on it for more than two years... Development is slow and it's starting to feel like torture, lol. Quote
Seagull King of Vaughan Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Great job with this, it really does look like an isolated outpost. I remember seeing the gatehouse when it was first posted. It’s nice to see what the whole castle looks like! Quote
Grover Posted May 24 Posted May 24 It is a very cute micro that sticks to the original. You have done a very nice job incorporating newer parts that fill in a lot of detail SNOTted. Nice job! Quote
