LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted Thursday at 06:13 PM Posted Thursday at 06:13 PM I would certainly choose the one on the right! Quote

For the Go Bricks, I assume their dark green is "Earth Green"? 1 hour ago, LEGO Train 12 Volts said: I would certainly choose the one on the right! Yess, that's the cheaper one too, haha So that's likely gonna be the one I'll end up building in the future, it'll fit nicely behind the 70 for sure! Quote

Flemmbrav Posted Friday at 06:34 PM Posted Friday at 06:34 PM Sadly the image of your preview of the coach doesn't load for me! For dark green coaches, not mixing manufacturers too much seems to be the ideal to me. I have coaches in Lego dark green, bluebrixx dark green and gobricks dark green. Even with the insanly bad colour mixing Lego and bluebrixx bring to the table, you can clearly see when using a different manufacturer for a few bricks. The bluebrixx pieces are less saturated, the gobricks pieces are darker. left to right: bluebrixx, lego, gobricks. I've added some colourful bricks in the picture to have a better time recreating the actual colour situation. I use bluebrixx bricks with clip on my otherwise Lego build coaches, and you can see these not being made by Lego. But you can also see that Lego really does not do a good job matching colours either. The bluebrixx clips are used to mount the doors to the gangway. Everything else is either Lego or 3d-printed or a laser-print on a Lego tile. Quote

It's honestly a shame that there's still that variation in those colours in that regard! I've edited the previous post with the picture, it should be functional again. But I think I'll go for the version where I won't need the Bluebrixx/Gobricks replacement part in the end, so atleast the only colour variation I'll end up with is the one Lego themselves can't fix either... 🫣😅 Quote
Flemmbrav Posted Friday at 11:06 PM Posted Friday at 11:06 PM I love the textured walls on the snot version. Regarding the availability, going for a full snot wall could help with the price - what do you think? Quote

I've been thinking about the full snot wall as well, but the "bar" on the side would end up too wide that way, even on my design it's already too wide honest, ideally it should be a 1-1.5 plate height at most...😅 Hence why I'm leaning towards the more simple box shape right now, it'll also allow me to put in an interior, so that'll compensate for missing one exterior detail in my mind, haha Quote
