T-86(swebrickLUG) Posted February 5 Posted February 5 (edited) I have done a large update for Task 1 (armed forces) and Task 2 (sigfig and entourage) for my ongoing city-project Dandelume and thought I would do a post since Im very satisfied with how all the figs turned out! C&C as always welcome. Task 1: Armed forces of Dandelume All the different races from the population are represented in the regular army of Dandelume: Men, elves, centaurs, fauns and so on. Always ready to defend the city, its people and in extension answer potential call for aid from the queen regent Ylspeth. The colors of the dandelumian armed forces is the avalonian dark/sand-green for uniforms and tunics etc. Hoods, cloakes and gloves on the other hand bare the color of dark red. A symbol for ’the red dawn’ which play a crucial role in the birth, history, folklore and future of Dandelume. In the ’Horn Squadron’ they pay tribute to the first dandelumian settlers that followed deer, by wearing large horns on their dragon helmets. A tradition/custom dating back to the days of heroine Dand El Alume, whom was said to have worn a helmet with great antlers in battle. The mounted knights in the cavalry legion ”Flight of the dragons” wear helmets with thin steel wings. Their units standard bearer is a infantryman that lifts a lance with a dark green dragon. An honouring of the historical ’Flight of the dragons’ led by Artorious Rex said to have sounded like the wings of a dragon when they were charging forward. The dandelumian armed forces are composed of six smaller legions: Light footmen: Sword- and spearmen Vanguard: Scouts, workmen and sappers Artillery: Ballistas and scorpios (only used in sieges) No photo available. Archers: Bowmen and arbelists Heavy footmen: The court champions (seen in photo with the duke below) and the 'Horn squadron' Cavalry: “Flight of the dragons”, mounted knights. Task 2 Sigfig entourage/crew and main characters of Dandelume The duke Wifgrir, countess Arianne sided by the court champions (seen earlier in this post) Lady Alannais, her maid Lana and Trandill the court mage. Below; From left to right: Boroghan, Miadin, Erdil and Dweldin first in their civilian outfits and then in their respective legional uniforms. Edited February 5 by T-86(swebrickLUG) Quote
Kai NRG Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Incredible figbarf! The archers look especially cool as a group. I also love your use of those Ninjago dragon helmets. Quote

Yoggington Posted March 11 Posted March 11 I've been picking my way through these for the last while, really well put together. Even the photography posing has had great attention paid to it. Nicely done. Quote

Seagull King of Vaughan Posted Wednesday at 02:47 AM Posted Wednesday at 02:47 AM That’s an imposing looking force. My compliments especially on the ‘Flight of Dragons’, Avalonia’s formal forces are clearly foes to be reckoned with! I’m also fond of the clever methods for longer spears. I may borrow the latter myself, with permission of course! Quote

Go ahead and use them you too!! All the best! Quote
