Really cool, these builds in the ideas books have always held a special fascination to me, a sort of "what could have been".

I would have loved though for the post to include an image of the build from the book for comparison.

Yes it does. When I was younger me and my best friend used to build many of the builds from this idea book. He later gave it to me. We always tried to recreate the scenes from the idea books plus also adding our own MOCs as well.

Yes, that would be great. I believe many people would be interested in a modern idea book for themes such as City or Ninjago. One problem might be the high number of specialized pieces and colors nowadays that makes alternate models more difficult to build.
