Those two turned out great; neatly built with matching scale, style and features. Top class entry!

Thanks! I'm glad you like them both.

Very nice entries you ‘simple’ clean styling works again 👍

Thanks again. I'm happy you like it and the simple styling.

You nailed the contest. This is exactly what we were looking for. Spot on.

Huzzah! Thanks. Like so many before it, this contest was a lot of fun for me. My kitchen scale has never had so much use.

This build is a little non-canonical for the contest, but this project started here and I was able to finish it so I'm sharing it here. I could never really find a good partner for this build, so I scrapped it for the contest. But I still wanted to share the build just in case if brings some joy to someone else. I found it just a little to cute to scrap.

This little dump truck features:

  • Steering with HOG
  • Tipping bed with HOG
  • Bed drop sides
  • Opening doors

This indeed brings joy! I'm happy to see this little guy complete.

I figured you could use those:

instead of the 1 x 2 plates on the sides of the front to move headlights up there in stead of on the bumper. What do you think?

Nope, I tried that idea. Using the connection point on the bottom interferes with the tires at full steering lock.

I did try using this part,

but the nose looked even more busy.

Yeah, I though it might but couldn't figure out for sure only looking at the pictures.
Well it seems the solution you implemented is the best compromise once again... :classic:
