Auroralampinen Posted December 4, 2025 Posted December 4, 2025 Well, it's again the time to strike back with a new model:). This time I brought you a logging truck. Mine first bigger European truck moc and first to have an openable cabin. And it’s been over 10 years when Lego released the last logging truck, the 9397. And this has 135pcs more than on the 9397:). And also I have upgraded my model naming scheme. Now all my models have product lines:). This model belongs to the mechatech lineup where all the mechanical sets belong:). Then there is the air-mechatech lineup where all pneumatic and mechanical models belong:). Then there is the soapbox collection, my smallest model’s lineup:). And the car lineup doesn't yet have a model lineup name:). (Edit, now the car lineup has a name. My car model’s belong to rusty riders lineup:).). Plus this model introduces my new instructions standard, the Gen 3. I hope you like the new front cover:). Specs:). Name, Mechatech Logging Truck. Pcs, 1443pcs. Instructions, Free Gen 3 instructions:). Functions:). Tiltable cabin to reveal working v6 connected to both rear axles via differentials:). Worm gear driven boom rotation:). Worm gear driven boom’s first stage elevation:). Worm gear driven boom’s second stage elevation:). Grabble rotation and worm gear driven working grapple:). Working outriggers controlled by levers:). Hog front wheel steering:). V6 engine connected to both rear axles via differentials:). Functions video:). Details and looks:). Comparison to miniature combine harvester:). Free instructions:). https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-241819/Auroralampinen/mechatech-logging-truck/#details If you made this far have a nice december, christmas and new year:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted December 4, 2025 Author Posted December 4, 2025 In total this tooked around 6 days to design, build and create instructions:). One design secret about this is the front design. The front was inspired from the 8258, and both uses the same connector 5 in light bluish gray in the extra front lights:). And i think this will look really nice next to 8258:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted December 4, 2025 Author Posted December 4, 2025 And yes, this model can handle kids rough playing and handling:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted December 4, 2025 Author Posted December 4, 2025 Ok, next to the Logging Truck the Miniature Combine Harvester is soo tiny compared to the truck:). The Miniature Combine Harvester is truelly a miniature because of it's smaller scale compared to the truck:). Quote
allanp Posted December 4, 2025 Posted December 4, 2025 Nice use of the 45 degree offset knob gear to make the grabber Quote
