Hello everyone,

I recently bought the 75300 and 75301 sets second-hand. I decided to completely rework both of them. So here I’ll present my version of the TIE fighter.

The instructions are available here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-241646/Sebulba56/imperial-fighter-moc/#details

Let’s start with what I kept from set 75300: the wing structure. That’s it. Everything else was completely redesigned from scratch.

I rebuilt the entire central part of the ship with the following goals:

 • Use a 4x4 dish as the canopy to better match the TIE’s proportions compared to the wings.
 • Keep a pilot inside the cockpit with easy access.
 • Ensure the whole build is sturdy, especially the connection between the cockpit and the wings, so it can be swooshed just like the original set.

I managed to meet all these requirements. I particularly like how the cockpit opens in the same way as the real TIE fighter, allowing you to create mini dioramas that look quite faithful to what you see in the movies.

That’s all for now, I’ll leave you with some photos.

Some details on the cockpit opening, then with some parts removed for better visibility.
