Sven J Posted September 13, 2025 Posted September 13, 2025 These "dots" are injection marks where the molten ABS is - as the name says - injected into the mould. Sadly these marks seem to have become more prominent in recent years, maybe due to changes in the production process. But nevertheless your parts are genuine. Quote
JopieK Posted September 15, 2025 Posted September 15, 2025 If you pay close attention you see the sprue before it is ejected from the mould. Quote

You did look at the picture? As stated above, these "dots" are injection marks and are perfectly normal on all injection-moulded items. That, in former times, Lego was seemingly able to hide the injection gates in less visible edges is a different thing. Edited September 25, 2025 by Sven J Quote
anothergol Posted October 7, 2025 Posted October 7, 2025 (edited) Actually, NOT having injection marks would be a sign that it's "fake". I sometimes buy other brands for that specific reason, in case I need studs exposed. For ex, the part I DON'T want as original LEGO, is the good old ingot. LEGO itself has been caught erasing the ingot's injection mark on marketing images (or perhaps they just use offbrand ones lol), because they're just ugly. Well, those parts do exist without marks. Most of the time other brands also have such marks, but not at the same spots. So depending on the faces that are visible, they're still useful. Also, there's no such thing as "fake LEGO" with LEGO labels on studs. Unless I'm mistaken, that has never been produced (there would be no point, it's hardly a luxury item worth the troubles). If it says LEGO then it's LEGO. Edited October 7, 2025 by anothergol Quote
