Adam Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 Arr, this be an action fer me! Now, if I only had some money to buy these wonderful sets. I guess I'll have to sell my leg or something and walk around with a pegleg. It would probably be awkward at first but I'd get used to it. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 4, 2008 Author Governor Posted September 4, 2008 6277 Imperial Trading Post For the imperial guard a nice little port but the guards are a bit sleepy the pirates have just sailed into port in a little sailing dingy while the guards watched the galleon sailing out of port one is running to take control of the cannon the other is running to overpower the guard in the tower will they succeed you will have to buy it to find out the rest of the story is yours! Manta Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 God, your gonna make me spend all my money on pirates..... Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 I wouldn't have minded getting me hands on that first Eldorado Fortress. The real one came with a large assortment of people including 2 pirates, 2 Officers and 4 shako wearing marines. I think this set has about 7 shakos! WOW! Regards, Captain Zuloo Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 14, 2008 Author Governor Posted September 14, 2008 Ah yes, the ever precious shakos, they seem to be a quite popular headpiece. Eldorado Fortress is about the only non-Pirate set with a goodly amount of troops, whereas the Imperial Trading Post as quite disappointing in those regards, only offer two Imperial grunts. Captain Zuloo Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Sadly, I only have four shako men that came with the Eldorado Fortress. Bugger! Oh well, I don't have any burning desire to create an army, so they'll do for my films and MOCs. Captain Z. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 19, 2008 Author Governor Posted September 19, 2008 Only shakos? You poor fellow. You can't have an army of troops with a mere 4 shakos. Whatever shall we do? Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Only shakos? You poor fellow. You can't have an army of troops with a mere 4 shakos. Whatever shall we do? I know. It is a tale of tradgety and woe. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 19, 2008 Author Governor Posted September 19, 2008 There is that possibility of buying some on BrickLink! I'll keep you informed if I ever see some for auction on eBay. Or maybe I'll buy them for myself Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Oh thanks Mister Phes BL always seems to be so expensive! So maybe you could buy them for me. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 26, 2008 Author Governor Posted September 26, 2008 Captain Zuloo, you're crazy!!! But yeah sure, I'd give them to you for Christmas but I don't believe in Christmas Quote

Governor Mister Phes Posted September 27, 2008 Author Governor Posted September 27, 2008 How much did you acquire them for, Jamtf? Quote
jamtf Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 How much did you acquire them for, Jamtf? The first sealed one was purchased on eBay in September 2006 and in very good condition. I paid € 400 for it which is about right for this set, especially when it is in great shape. There was no shipping charge since I went to the seller and picked it up myself. The second sealed one was a purchase through ebay.co.uk and acquired on 24 May 2007. Box was in rough condition with some missing print due to price sticker tear offs and other damages. Both box seals were broken but all parts still sealed in their original plastic bags. I had to re-arrange everything inside since the seller had messed up things by taking all bags, etc. out of the box for photographing. The plastic insert, raised baseplate and bags were misplaced and put in the wrong section of the box. Fortunately, I was able to arrange things properly and exactly how it should be done. After all, I already had that first MISB set in perfect shape with everything in place. I ended up paying £ 110 (GBP 110) including shipping from England to the Continent. The 2 used copies were purchased in 2005 and 2007 I believe. The first one was less than € 75 including shipping, the second one was in the € 90 region including shipping although I did not keep records of these like I did with the sealed copies I own. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 28, 2008 Author Governor Posted September 28, 2008 Seems like you're doing pretty well then! Not many people could afford 400 Euro for a LEGO set so their MISB future is safe at that price! Quote

And how much is € 400 in US dollars? Quote
jamtf Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 (edited) why do you own more than one in the first place? And how much is € 400 in US dollars? Because I am a collector. The used sets are for building and MOCing. I like to have my sets complete with the original boxes and instructions if not MISB. Maybe some day I will sell one of the sealed 6277 sets. Time will tell. For a conversion of € 400 I suggest you take a look at www.xe.com for today's euro vs. USD exchange rate. Edited September 30, 2008 by jamtf Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted October 13, 2008 Author Governor Posted October 13, 2008 Yes, sell one of the MISB Imperial Trading Posts when Mister Phes is ready to buy one, which unfortunately won't be in the near future.... Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 (edited) Captain Zuloo, you're crazy!!! But yeah sure, I'd give them to you for Christmas but I don't believe in Christmas My ancestors have a long lasting festival called Zuloo christmas - not to be mistaken with Zulu christmas. So you could get me them then? Edited October 13, 2008 by Captain Zuloo Quote
