From time to time I'm improving my frigate L'Orient. I was completely unhappy with the sides of the ship, so that's the part I'm rebuilding now. I've rebuild one side of the ship and didn't touch the other side yet. This gives me the opportunity to show some pictures before and after the changes. Personally I like the new look a lot and I'm much more satisfied with the ship. Tell me what you think!

This is still very much WIP and I'm still making several adjustments as I'm typing this.

Hello,

I find it is looking much better than before now.

The hull of the ship seems curvedly much more.

Much better than before with the straight lines.

Good work!

I love it! You really improved on the flow of the figurehead, it's much more gradual now. The curve, slightl forced in the previous version, was fixed, which I'm glad to see. Great job !

Well you better finish the L'Orient Mister!

The rebuild has been effective, after comparing both sides I have concluded the revision is much sleeker and sexier thus allowing for a much "sportier" appearance.

You should definitely rebuild the starboard now...

Thanks for all the feedback!!

I've started working on the starboard side. But of course I'm missing several pieces so I just ordered those on Bricklink.

What did you use to make the Orient name on the Stern?

That's something I've designed with Paint Shop Pro and glued on the ship with Pritt ;-)

How long till you receive these missing pieces? And exactly which pieces are you missing?
