Plenty of top favorite sets of all time talks. Let's talk about designers. Counts both All time and recents. For me it is Markus Kossmann (all time) and Milan Reindl and Kasper René Hansen. I like Markus's efforts towards overall build and functionality. I love Milan's works for his brilliant brick-built solutions which are also challenging. Recently I like Kasper for his commendable efforts towards rigidity in builds like 9x8 Peugeot Hypercar.

As for MOCs it is Viktor Geynes for his brilliance in RC retro-isque cars. Also Sariel, Didumos and Eric Trax.

For Lego it is usually a group of designers lead by some really cool and experienced talented person. Information comparatively scarce as to how they develop the builds as they go through required hurdles. Howevr, thanks to Racingbrick and others along with official podcasts we also get to know about these too.

Markus Kossman is the GOAT. Absolute bangers - 8275, 8288, 42009, 40243, 42055, 42100, etc etc

He's legendary, but I'd actually pick Michael Jeppesen. He can keep his views on my country's political situation to himself, but he's been behind some sets than run the gamut from cool to absolutely amazing - 42006, 42021, 42042, 42054, 42081, 42114... I could go on!

Plus I'll always have the memories of 8226 from when I borrowed it off a mate.

Hard to look past Markus Kossman on the desinger's side, for the sheer breadth and depth in his portfolio (with the only caveat being no outstanding smaller sets in my opinion). It's notable that the introductory sets for Power Funtions and Control+ were both his.

As for MOCs, it has to be Madoca1977, who brought me out of my dark ages with his wing body truck, and later, the Icarus supercar. They still hold up today.

Definitely Markus Kossmann for his passion, amazing talent and his contribution to the revolutionary innovations for the Technic line (PF and PU) for decades. He is also partly responsible for ending my dark ages with his benchmark set, the 8421 Mobile Crane from 2005, which is still one of my favourite sets due to the excellent maneuverability and breathtaking motorized boom extension, combined with synchronized winch mechanism. But his beloved sets are almost endless: 8265, 8275, 41999, 42009, 42043, 42055, 42100, 42113, 42145, 42131... By the way, he started his career at LEGO in 1998 Feb, so he could not be in the design team for 8840 Space Shuttle.

I also very much like Uwe Wabra's clean designs and Jan Hatting's sets from the classic period (he was the lead designer for my favourite set, the 8868 Air Tech Claw Rig). I would also like to mention Anders Gaasedal Christensen, who, after designing 2 ingenious Technic sets (8043 and 8109), left the Technic team in favour of the Mindstorms team around 2010.
