Let me present my Isengard MOC! After finishing the design in studio.io last year I’ve finally got to the point where I could build it in real bricks. It’s been quite the project coming in at 5 333 pieces. It features the Tower of Orthanc with surrounding gardens of Isengard. For the tower I have used Legos set from 2014, with an added level. Due to the size of the trees I knew I had to add to the height of the Tower. This resulted in a library being added in the middle section above the original throne room. This addition have given the tower better overall proportions. I’ve already started working on another level which will be added near the top. The base is constructed from wedge plates to achieve a nice round shape finished of with a black border around it as a nod to the ring of Isengard. As for the trees I opted for dark brown and dark green as this best represents old growth. They also vary in size and coverage in the canopy. For the gardens one detail remain to be added; a chain-link fence. Hopefully I will be able to order the parts I need in the coming days. Together it all makes for a highly detailed and massive display standing at a respectable 84cm tall.
