Electricsteam Posted April 27 Posted April 27 (edited) Here is a mega project I have completed recently for our LUG's RVA Brick Day event It's a modular bridge designed for quick assembly for events! Its 2 major pieces, a straight section with rails attached and a leg section that used jumper plates for a loose but stable connection The curves are transported separately assembled. Here is is at RVA brick day, https://imgur.com/nVskADV The yellow line is about 12 feet with a PUP tram running back and forth on a color sensor Here is some more images of it in set up. Ashland Train day!, Working on getting the red line ready to be attached to Andy's 3 Era's Mega display for the next go around, One big continuous mega city is the dream. Murdoch17 Posted April 27 Posted April 27 (edited) Glad to see you're still alive and kicking! The bridge is really awesome and impressive, plus I'm also pleased to see the atomic engine is still around. (Did you ever get those running issues ironed out with that one?) I hope to see more of your builds around these parts - you are an amazing builder and I always look forward to seeing what you make @Electricsteam! Edited April 27 by Murdoch17 Quote

On Rev4 now, 1 PUP motor and it eats batteries like nothing else, but it doesn't derail anymore so its pretty great. Prolly gonna just go back to having the PF motors in it tho Also redid the lights in it to be more professional. I'll post pics of it later Quote

zephyr1934 Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Brilliant work! That's a very practical solution, I like the flexibility, especially with the open loop running on the yellow line. I also spotted all sorts of interesting trains in the photos, you've been busy without posting. The latter is not a complaint, life tends to make everyone busy, but whenever you have time it would be interesting to see what you've been up to with rolling stock. Quote
Andy Glascott Posted April 29 Posted April 29 Most of the trains in the pics @Electricsteam posted are by builders in the LUG he and I are in, as far as I know he and I are the only LUG members on here as well @zephyr1934. The green atomic “steam” loco belongs to electricsteam, the rest are other members of the LUG. Quote
zephyr1934 Posted April 30 Posted April 30 @Andy Glascott makes sense, still looks interesting and it would be neat to see layout photos of your shows that include some of these MOCs or would they be TOCs (their own creations) Quote

The bridge system looks great! SD Quote
Andy Glascott Posted Friday at 03:42 PM Posted Friday at 03:42 PM (edited) A couple of pics of recent RVALUG train events that @Electricsteam and I participated in - our annual club show and Ashland Train Day. We do a collaborative city/train layout each year at both and they are the two main events I haul my growing layout to. (Sorry it's taken a while to add them @zephyr1934.) @SD100 the long grey train is another member's, I haven't found pics of it anywhere else but it's based on the train in Snowpiercer. Murdoch17 Posted Friday at 04:04 PM Posted Friday at 04:04 PM @Andy Glascott your pictures aren't showing up for some reason. I don't know why. Quote
Andy Glascott Posted Friday at 04:07 PM Posted Friday at 04:07 PM Thanks @Murdoch17, will have a look in a moment Anyone else running into issues with Flickr? I've replaced the links in the post above a few times, tried different sizes, no avail... My photostream is here, the two images above are the first two in it. Quote

BB Code no longer works (for me at least). Had to grab the actual image URL from the BB code, and then use the forums "Other Media" dropdown box in the editor to get those pictures displayed. Quote
