Sérgio Posted March 15 Posted March 15 This wagon is not a replica of any specific model, it is inspired by old Passenger wagons. I built it using leftover parts from models I partially disassembled about 10 years ago, and I decided to reuse the pieces to create this model. The intention is to give it a decrepit look where time has eroded it and nature has taken over. To make it look more realistic, I also added some graffiti, which I drew directly on the pieces without any sketches or references using Posca pens. I am not a graffiti artist, but I like to draw and paint. I freehanded some "funky" letters. I’m not a fan of graffiti on moving trains, but since this carriage is abandoned, the situation is different. The graffiti has ironic meanings; they say "This Is Wrong," "2025," and "Noba." Another feature of this model is that it can run smoothly on Lego tracks. Despite its worn appearance, it is a quite solid construction with nothing loose. Quote
Toastie Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Oh - my - goodness ... This is incredible. This is fantastic. This is so creative: A "quite solid construction with nothing loose" and (>not< but) taken over by nature - a true symbiosis. "This is wrong" - I love antonyms (as this passenger wagon is so right). They often point to ... the true meaning. 2025 is surely less than a year that flows - with all the disruptions screaming out loud. For me, your creation is a piece of art. Industrial art. Contemporary art - as graffiti is (to me). It is the entire artwork that strikes me; the idea, the realization in bricks and paint, the art discourse, the request - or maybe (?) better - stimulus - to think ... it made me think, dream ... Wonderful. Thank you so much, Sérgio, for sharing, both, the pictures, and your explanations. Artwork works for me best, when there are some hints ... All the best Thorsten Quote
Feuer Zug Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Another wonderful derelict work of art. This would go perfect in the weed encrusted yard with your abandoned locomotive. Quote

I tried to make ugly things look good. initially, I thought of making this a static model, Like my old steam Locomotive, and just put it somewhere on my layout, but then I thought it could be funny to have a completely broken model running I've started also to modified my steam loco, and aiming for an entire "broken/Abandoned" train, but that actually can run 18 hours ago, Feuer Zug said: Another wonderful derelict work of art. zephyr1934 Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Another great MOC, I'm sure it was an organic build. Can't wait to see that in motion Quote
Feuer Zug Posted March 20 Posted March 20 I'm liking them together. I'd love to see it running. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Stunning creation @Sérgio, I like the containment net part! I can see that the construction is subsequent to the locomotive ... the detail is definitely superior! Very good as always! Quote
