KlaasK Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 (edited) Earlier this week I built a sort of medieval ring stitch tableau, but I thought: it should also be possible as it is still held today. On unsaddled farm horses, the rider tries to stab through the ring with a short lance. The ring gets smaller after each round. Whoever stabs the most rings is the winner. It is a fun Zeeland tradition that people love to come and watch. Nice news: in our town of Tholen in Zeeland, ring stabbing is being organised again this year for the King's Day celebrations, after it was stopped in the years around the corona epidemic.
