Auroralampinen Posted September 16 Author Posted September 16 Well, i have seen many brick reviewers moving out for much bigger studios for they bricks;). Im since a really humble person i do live in rented two room apartment with about 56m², and yes i do not afford a house so, i live in block of flats(yeah i had to google what is a kerrostalo in english, and still the block of flats sounds wrong, but the high rise suggestion is even worse because in finland we don't have skyscrapers;).). And in case you are wondering, nope i will not move in to a massive studio space. I still refuse because i want to put my pennies in brick building than a massive studio space. So because i have now make the ground breaking decision to review every month a new pantasy set, i will have to became really creative with my apartment space. And i have started going to local recycling centers recently in search for a cheap usable tables, and yes, im really different kind of reviewer because always my photo shots looks pretty rough by modern standards, but i don't like purchasing a backround so that in mind i use every corner of my apartment for taking pictures. And my style is to be really small operation with funding in my own pocket and i want to stay true to earth without any flashy backrounds or massive golf course sized studios;). So my production scale will stay always stay true to earth and that is my style. Its good to be unique in this same looking internet era:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted September 24 Author Posted September 24 My newest review:). Have a fun time reading this review:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 3 Author Posted October 3 Early october update:). I have now made 2 pantasy reviews from the October review spree. More to come. Have a fun time reading these:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 6 Author Posted October 6 Ok, i probably have to start testing the pantasy in house BAS(Brick Alive System) systems electronics more in my builds. Because this seems really promising. And thank godness that somebody lissened our complaints about app controls. Because pantasy does not use phone controls. Everything is controlled via couple of buttons and switches via the wire hub/control box or in simpler cases when sound brick isin't necessary like on cuckoo clock mine and windmill. The motor is directly connected to the usb c port which has the on off button:). Quote

I also believe, we need a dedicated Pantasy BAS topic here in this forum: Mindstorms is essentially dead. PUp is not that much of a blaster, due to missing physical remotes - and being forced to use smart devices. New motor control systems are generally appreciated here. There is CaDA motor stuff (highly appreciated here, for whatever reason, I'll never get), MouldKing stuff (not so appreciated, I get that, MK behavior wise) - and so on. Now, we have Pantasy motor stuff and are forced to hideout in the Community Forum. Fine with me; I regularly visit/post there, as I am all 3rd party since TLG went into - anything else, it was "before" - for me, into oblivion. It may turn out that BAP is all crap. Honestly though? I >seriously< doubt that. Not with what they have accomplished so far. And they are going steep. With every set/technology they introduce. I'll wait and see. @Auroralampinen Just post your findings here - using all LEGO bricks and pieces of course - other than BAP of course - and then wait for the reactions. Maybe a total smash-down (so just revert to Community), or not. All the best Thorsten Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 8 Author Posted October 8 (edited) Mid october update:). Well, today i received my 7th pantasy set. Wow i probably have to celebrate this milestone:). Ps, i have never in my life buyed so many lego alternatives from the same brand. But pantasy sets have impressed me soo much, that i have becomed a huge fan of pantasy models. And my collection is growing slow but steadily :). Well, about my mocs. I have not created any mocs, i have now enjoyed my pantasy sets, and played with them. And do not worry i haven't not abandoned my moc building career. But pantasy sets have sparked again my inner child to play and explore and play with offical models with full curiosity and amazement:). And i'm not exarating here. I'm truly bringed back to my great childhood years of 2010 playing with the technic motorized excavator:). And im soo happy and impressed with pantasy models:). Auroralampinen Posted October 10 Author Posted October 10 Well, here is my newest pantasy review. Have a fun time reading this:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 12 Author Posted October 12 Well, now i have created Pantasy general discussion topic. Have a fun time, and let's hope pantasy will get more recognition on this platform. Because im really impressed and happy with them:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 14 Author Posted October 14 Happy news:). Couple days ago i got inspiration for building mocs again. And now the moc is done. I will now produce free instructions for it:). Little sneak peak:). Its the newest member of the Soapbox collection, and its the flagship model from the Soapbox collection. Plus this is my very first attempt to make this kind of machinery:). So stay tuned:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 14 Author Posted October 14 (edited) Well, since i got my new dining table. Now you won't see anymore set or moc reviews from the floor. The newest member of the Soapbox collection, will be reviewed on my dining table with nice pantasy set backround:). Edited October 14 by Auroralampinen Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 19 Author Posted October 19 Allright i was a bit bored. And i found a really cool moc in rebrickable. And this was my first ever experience with buying instructions. So how it did go. Well, not good. My PayPal for some reason in the first time didn't work and it still tooked my money. And i tryed second time and voilà it worked. But i really hope that i will get the money back from the first failed attempt. Since i got charged twice. Well, no hate towards anybody. But this was cluncky and fidly as h*ll:/. Update, now i got back the first failed payment attempt now im happy:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 19 Author Posted October 19 (edited) In case you are curious how long i do develope the new model:). Here is the answer:). Usually my moc takes about 1-4 days to design and build. But it can take up to 1 month:). Next the instructions takes about 1-2 days. Since i do inspect every page invidually to check they are easy to follow. And there are no hiccups:). Next i will publish a review and this takes 1 day:). If i notice afterwards that something is wrong with the model instructions. Or someone complained about the bad instructions, i will start immeadely developing a fix. And this takes about 1 day:). And im still learning how to make premium good quality instructions. So i like to hear your feedback and suggestions:). And yes, im still sorry about the 42203 upgraded model's instructions. I have not had time to update those to gen 2.1 instructions. But i really hope some day in the future i get them upgraded from the crappy gen 1 to gen 2.1 instructions:). Edited October 19 by Auroralampinen Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 21 Author Posted October 21 New project:). Sneak peak:). This is powered by 1 power functions L motor. With good track performance:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 22 Author Posted October 22 Little bit more progress. And yes, this model so far can lift up it self with outriggers:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 22 Author Posted October 22 A bit of pneumatic engineering:). In total this will have 5 pneumatic sylinders and 2 linear actuators:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 22 Author Posted October 22 Ok, im now strongly in believe, that the new project has surpaced the road to the failed moc ideas graveyard:). And yes, i don't want any moc to go the graveyard of failed projects. But sometimes they go. But i will now work extra hard to make sure this will not go to the graveyard of failed projects. Because the graveyard of failed projects pileup is getting bigger and bigger;). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 22 Author Posted October 22 Now i have found a place for the pneumatic switches:). Ps... If technic line is going downhill. Luckily my mocs will not go downhill. I do prioritize functions over the looks. That's why the combine harvester has a hole in the back. So you can peak inside for working linkages:). And i have noticed in my mocs, that i have based the looks and style as in 2010's technic lineup:). Sneak peak. The new moc will be powered via 1 power functions L motor. And luckily it's not painfully slow as 42215. This is pretty fast and really fun to play. And yes, this little beast packs a punch. This is somehow even more powerfull and faster than the 42215. While this uses decade old motor system than the 42215. Its amazing how powerfull power functions motors and electronics are, even 8 years after they disappeared:). Quote
Timorzelorzworz Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Your working place looks like after nuclear burst. I like it. Quote

Auroralampinen Posted October 23 Author Posted October 23 More progress. Functions still needs a bit of fine tuning. But overall they work fine for now:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 23 Author Posted October 23 Well, i wasn't happy att all with the first rear bucket arm. But now i have completely overhauled it. And now it's much better:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 23 Author Posted October 23 (edited) All right i will end now for today:). As i said i will work hard. I truly mean it. Now my back and fingers hurt;). And here is timeline of todays work schedule. I waked up and goed to breakfast at 8:30(am) I started building in 10:00(am) I did go to local coffee place in 14:00(2:00 pm) I did continue building at 15:30(3:30 pm) I did go supper in 19:10(7:10 pm) I did continue at 19:35(7:35 pm) Now it's 22:00(10:00 pm) and now i will stop for today:). Edited October 23 by Auroralampinen Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 23 Author Posted October 23 Well, here is the world premier for the Tracked Backhoe Loader functions:). This works soo well. Im really impressed. Maybe the tracks should had a little bit slower gear ration:). Well, im really impressed how this can be even more faster and powerfull than the 42215. While this uses a decade old power system. And same motor setup as the 42215:). And this my most complex model so far. And mine best model ever with pneumatics:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted October 24 Author Posted October 24 Happy news. The model is done:). I will now spend months of my time creating high quality free instructions. And i will still refuse to ask anything for my instructions. Because i know, you have much more important expenses:). Like food, rent, bills and maybe pet food:). Quote
