Auroralampinen Posted April 18 Author Posted April 18 (edited) Well the new Sunnyside Beachshark GTRs lock connection is my created type 2 connection to not confuse with the car transporter set locks and here is few things if you have some fears about type 2. 1. Type 2 is my standard and i will use going foward if i make car transporter gang combatible cars 2. Type 2 connection is free to use and i will not profit from it 3. The type 2 is compatible attleast with the jesko Yellow axles shows, where to connect type 2 compatible cars. 4. All my created type 2 trailers for the car transporter have free instructions 5. You can freely use type 2 connection for you builds So hopefully this reliefs you fears, for the type 2 connection. And since its my designed connection. Now i have clear standard, if i make car transporter gang combatible cars. And type 2 allows me to have some flexibility. So have fun, if you want to make or create, type 2 compatible cars:) Edited April 18 by Auroralampinen Quote

Auroralampinen Posted May 14 Author Posted May 14 Well, in case, you are wondering, what's gonna happen, in next months in my building spree. I have started to looking more pieces for my building. And possibly a motors:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted May 16 Author Posted May 16 Well, as i teased before. Now i got the power;). I was one early morning browsing at our local internet flea market. And i saw cheap listing for technic builds, and i sended him an offer 160€. And he accepted it. Firstly there is a lot of missing pieces(like the bucket for the 42030 A model). But othervise all power functions components were included and linear actuators. Yayy:). Ps. And i didn't realize how big the 42030 B model was. Well its been like 10 years. Whem tiny me builded that model:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted May 17 Author Posted May 17 Many peoples don't know this, but im a huge sucker for flea markets. They some times have great findings. Like now couple days ago i went to my local flea market and saw a piece bags for 42082. I had to get them, and now i have few of them. Sadly no power functions or those large linear actuators, was on those bags only small version:/. Quote
Auroralampinen Posted May 17 Author Posted May 17 Well, since im finnish, i actually don't know the official name of kirpputori is in english. I had to look up, because i was un certain of this fact. And it seems the second hand store is more like it. While i try my best to use english, some times its hard to know exact word, like in this case:/. Quote
Auroralampinen Posted May 17 Author Posted May 17 Well, since i have again motors. Lets test if i can build a motorized tracked vehicle:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted May 19 Author Posted May 19 Well, i got now the rest of the 42082 parts bags from the flea market:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted May 19 Author Posted May 19 Well, that was succesfull flea market trip. There was pieces from senna, 42082, 42096 one mudguard. And a horse, wich i will give to my little sister. Because she loves horses:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted May 20 Author Posted May 20 Well, i spended today sorting the pieces. And, wow, there were pieces, from doms dodge charger, mclaren senna gtr, 42082, 42107, plus other miscellaneous sets:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted May 21 Author Posted May 21 Progress for the tracked thing. (and yes, this won't be an excavator. I got better idea:).) :). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted May 21 Author Posted May 21 This is so fun to see this thing moving. This is, my first working tracked thing:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted May 21 Author Posted May 21 Well, now the mechanical side is done. Now i will tackle with the looks. Ps... I started thinking and building this before the tracked vehicle contest. But since it has been launched. I will probably join the contest with this. Have fun:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted May 24 Author Posted May 24 Well, since i sayed i will take now break from the tracked outback dumper. Well, good luck happened today, as i went to my local hypermarket to pick up hand soap, i found the 10363 for 44€ in sale. Well i had to get it, because i have wanted it so badly, and now the opportunity camed. And now i will have a great time building it:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted June 5 Author Posted June 5 Well, i today got one of my childhood most wanted sets. And im soo happy to finally own one:). Ps... And yes im a huge nerd for wind turbines. And i really badly want to get the vestas:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted June 12 Author Posted June 12 Well, since the topic free vs paid instructions is really kind of hot topic. I wanted to share my own experience and my moc design values, and a little Q&A:). Well firstly, many peoples might question that, why i don't charge for my instructions. And fly to sunset with that money. Well, i don't like personally ask anything for my instructions. And i really want everyone to enjoy my builds. So i have made clear decision that my instructions will be always free, and i pour all of my efforts to making the best free instructions possible:). And, i like to be really humble person, and i don't like to flex with money. So my instructions will be always free. So have a really fun and great time building my mocs. And i like to hear you feedback about my mocs:). And here is value section. And basically every my made moc, will follow these value guidelines:). 1, my models have to be really fun to play with. 2, my models have to be really strongly build. So kids can play with them. 3, every moc will have some cool functions. 4, instructions have to be free so everyone can enjoy my mocs. 5, and, lissening feedback about my previous mocs. And fixing those issues in future mocs:). So, hopefully you will have a great time building my mocs. And if you have issues or something to say about my mocs. Please share you feedback, it really helps me to improve my building skills next time:). Ps, i have again purchased old sets for pieces. And i have some cool ideas, to what to do with them. So stay tuned:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted June 16 Author Posted June 16 A little haul:). (and yes the 42006 box condition really hurts my eyes). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted June 19 Author Posted June 19 (edited) Well, since i try to be as open as possible. If you have questions how i afford my legos without charging anything for instructions. Well, i do try to save my money to buy lego sets. And i had a big save for the first batch(wich started this journey). And after that i do use my savings wisely, and i buy some older technic sets. Because they can be really cheap. For example the gray off-roader was only 50€ with missing pieces. But the electronics alone can cost 50€. And i got with the same price almost 1000 pieces and some rare parts. And i do go to flea markets to see if i can find some great technic findings(like those 42082 pieces). So inclusion i fund this journey totally of my own money and my own savings, and im happy with this route. And since i rarelly buy sets only to display. This works really well:). (ps... And to make clear im not a ultra rich person im actually a lower income person but i use money for legos really wisely:).) Edited June 19 by Auroralampinen Added postscript Quote
markaus Posted June 19 Posted June 19 how do you comfortably build with your laptop/drink basically sitting in a pile of lego that spills over onto the floor under your desk? i dont mean this in a negative way, from what i can see your building area/floor look quite clean from dirt and rubbish Quote
